Fabian Delph who nobody remembers and likely won't be going to the Euros needs to get himself back in the news with any kind of non story he can conjure,p. So he comes up with this. Fucking tool.

I was really annoyed when Delph did his U-turn and left us for Man City.

However I have it on good authority (straight from another Man City player), that Delph actually wanted to stay, but the club (Fox) told him they wanted him off the wage bill to save money and pretty much forced him to leave. He fully intended to stay at Villa.
No chance. They wouldn't have produced all that glossy promotional crap if they were trying to shift him out

He knew what he was doing. He got a payoff that means he can retire comfortably in his 30's. Man City got an English player for the squad allocation.  Villa got fair money for a player of his limited ability.

As a club though we lost a decent premier league midfielder. Considering bottom three clubs don't have many of those it hit us hard.

Pellegrini said as much earlier this season. That it was villa that pushed it through not Delph.

City's first man on in a champions league quarter final tonight, solid enough display from him too

of course he could have remained on at Villa under tactics tim and visionaries like Fox on the board

Pellegrini intimated as much some time earlier in the season. With Fox anything is possible. Whether its true or not, the fact remains that Fox had declared earlier that we will not risk seeing our best talent slip through our fingers as contracts run down, and promptly offered new deals to Agbonlahor, Bacuna and Baker amongst others. Genius.
