It does make a laugh how grown men come on here saying how much they are hurt and let down, and Delph is a lying bastard who you will hate forever, get a fucking life

Yes he is a turncoat, yes he said something that he didn't do,
he's a footballer you nobs get used to it, don't take everything they say as set in stone would be a good start

He never ran of with your wife, he hasn't deserted and gone and fought for ISIS, he went to Man City for a bucket load of money and the chance of a trophy or two

I don't like what he did, and yes I will take the piss now and again, but there are plenty more deserving cases for the outpouring of angst on here which is at times quite pathetic

Why is it wrong to feel let down?

Think you're trying too hard here to be honest.

Or just stop posting on the thread and watch it drop into the reserve pages like, hopefully, his man City career.

Bollocks I've just posted on it. And I don't care if he does well or not.

If we're going to start with abusive language can I politely suggest you go fuck yourself? No thought not.

You're saying I should judge him by a lower standard of integrity just because he's a footballer?

By that reductive reasoning, they're all narcissistic uber capitalist wankers, and we're all sad spotty teenagers who should get out more.

He publically lied about a subject tens of thousands of people care about.  If you're surprised that a fair proportion of the few hundred that can be bothered enough to log on and read/debate subjects on here are a bit pissed off, then maybe you should get out more.

As with all things that people find annoying or upsetting, they'll all get over it, just at different paces.

For what its worth, I find the whole ready made pantomime villain stuff amusing, and maybe you should view it as such. Because if you're taking that this seriously, God (or any other deity or pantomime character of your choice) knows how you cope with some of the other stuff on here.

Might as well not bother with football then as it's just a game where a few blokes kicking a ball around, doesn't affect your marriage, home, car, job or kids so showing any kind of emotion to it should be redundant.

Can't we just lock this thread.  Time to move on.

No one is making you post on it!

Anyway, I really don't care why he went to Citeh, it's the way he went that makes him basically a complete and utter ******.

I don't want him to be forever injured though, I would prefer it if the injury is just niggly enough to mean he ends up plying his trade at Macclesfield or somewhere in a couple of years.

Legion did it. He was probably trying to tie his shoelaces at the time.

Threads like this tell you very little you don't know already about the player being discussed but they tell you a great deal about the posters who create the threads.   Outside the ground turnstiles I am an easy going inoffensive old codger but I walked into an absolute firestorm of hostility from a Villa fan in the pub on the banks of the Trent yesterday for daring to say I thought Baker's new contract was a good thing.   I beat a rapid retreat and hid among some friendly Forest fans of my own age.

Too true, Brian.  Extreme views to make a point are common these days, to the point of believing everything is black or white with no grey in between.

You do know that's now the third time you've made that joke?

It's not posted as a joke though.

It's just good advice to the understandibly up in arms hand wringers.

All of that totally glosses over the fact that people aren't getting upset because he left us for Man City.

If those who do not share similar views to you, Jon, are 'nobs' (sic) etc, perhaps you could find a different forum to post on.
