The bloke who tweeted the photo is threatening all sorts of legals to anyone who reproduces it uncredited.
Dave, a few month ago you were telling us minions not to panic as Delph, Vlaar and Benteke hadn't left. Any words to the wise now? Is it all a dream?

Clearly not, and congratulations on being sad enough to trawl through months of my posts.
Not trawled through any posts tonight, I just remembered how unrealistic your original views were, God bless you, in my view. Just pointing out that you were wrong - assuming you are man enough to accept it.

You've just said I said those three players hadn't left at a time when they hadn't left. Perhaps you could point out what was wrong about that.
Many posters were concerned about  Vlaar, Benteke and Delph going in the summer and you took great pride in disagreeing that this would happen. Now it's happened, what's your view?

what on earth are you trying to prove here? Are you aiming to show how much outraged you are than another poster? Do you think Dave is happy that those players are leaving the club or have left?
Neither.
But there is surely a point about posting something which, at the time can't be proven wrong, but turns out to be wrong, but later is clearly wrong and against the consensus on the forum.
If you don't accept this you are in 'the end of the world is nigh' territory. Still waiting for Dav's view.

You mean the one I gave two posts above?

You find me where I said they wouldn't go and I'll tell you.
I haven't researched your old posts, and won't, but I clearly remember your posts stating that we all shouldn't be so panicky over Vlaar, Delph and Tekers leaving. I may be wrong, but not sure if you are denying this?

I'm also not ecstatic about Micah Richards part in this as well. Delph has dropped him right in it here with those comments about how great it is at Citeh.

Atleast when Patrik Berger told Gaz Baz to get his lard arse up to 'The Mighty Reds YNWA' he hadn't just signed for us.

This is getting a bit confusing. I said they hadn't gone yet when they hadn't gone, and you've just said that that was wrong so I should explain myself. I'm lost.

what part did Richards play? Delph knew he could move to Man City, asked Richards who told him the truth. Were you expecting him to lie when asked about what playing for Man City could mean for his personal finances and career goals?

You're the one who has repeatedly posted bollocks about hillsbrough, aren't you?

I have heard stories about Richards getting negative comments. FFS, get a life. He has been onest and he also admitted last week he had no influence on Delph staying. We need this superb defender on board, so stop this nonsense, Delph left because he wanted to, not because of anyone else

Good luck to him, he'll need it.

He's made himself look a bit of a twat but as usual, the Premier League marketing bandwagon will have him hailed as a hero.

I was more shocked when he said he was staying.

As for people trying to prove their point was right and someone else's was wrong from months ago; please grow up.

Whilst I can understand the anger and disappointment at Delph leaving. Let's just think about it for a moment. Is he that great a player?

He's nowhere near a cowans, platt, houghton, Richardson, Taylor, Merson etc etc. the list is endless. Delph is decent, but we have had much much better midfielders. He gets in the worst England midfield I have seen in a long long time, but that means jack all in my opinion. I think he can be easily replaced and he will disappear into obscurity at City.

I might be wrong, but I'm confident he won't feature for England much beyond this year

On that note - would Ian Taylor have got into the current England team? The answer might come close to judging how good Delph is.

What I want to know is, what have snakes done to be associated with a lowlife like Fabian Delph?
Brilliant

Yes you may be correct, I certainly hope you are.
"I think he can be easily replaced"
Hereby lies the problem. No he isn't easily replaced.

Delph and Milner are not recognised by fans who they have not played for. I don't think he is as good as Milner if I am being honest, but he is a very good player. Not sure where Ian Taylor comes into the equation Dave, he would say himself he probably didn't have the talent. He is a massive role model for Villa fans as he feels the highs and lows that we do.

After few hours now ive calmed down a lot and am now feeling much more upbeat. If Benteke and that other bloke hadn't have left we'd probably be spending about £20m on players like Adebayor, Townsend etc. So would have been left with pretty much the same team we've had the last few years. Now we should, SHOULD, have around £55m to spend which hopefully will get us 7 or 8 of these continental fellas we've been linked with, giving us a new looking team altogether. Out of these we may get a Tonev or Helenius, but we could also get a Benteke or two hopefully. In strange way looking forward to next season more now than I was week or so back.

I admire the optimism, but in the past couple of weeks we have seen a proposed takeover fail to materialise, our best defender and midfielder leave the club and our star striker looking like he is soon to follow them out of the door.  A four blow combination that I would have thought has left most fans reeling.
