The bloke who tweeted the photo is threatening all sorts of legals to anyone who reproduces it uncredited.
Dave, a few month ago you were telling us minions not to panic as Delph, Vlaar and Benteke hadn't left. Any words to the wise now? Is it all a dream?

Clearly not, and congratulations on being sad enough to trawl through months of my posts.
Not trawled through any posts tonight, I just remembered how unrealistic your original views were, God bless you, in my view. Just pointing out that you were wrong - assuming you are man enough to accept it.

You've just said I said those three players hadn't left at a time when they hadn't left. Perhaps you could point out what was wrong about that.

Go away Paul, no one wants to hear from you.

On the contrary, what he says about changing your mind is exactly right. A few of us used to think he was a decent manager.

I did before he actually became our manager.

While this shitstorm unfolded, the club asked its fans to tweet about their favourite Premier League moments on behalf of Sky.

Modern football, right there. Fucking c***s, the lot of them.

Today of all days the Club need to just give it a rest.

Fobbing us off yet again with more PR crap.  Delph has let us down, but there cannot be a worse run Premier League club than us now.  Thought this would end when Faulkner went, but Fox has been shown to be another incompetent liar.

I agree Faulkner was incompetent but how has Fox been an incompetent liar?

I don't know about Fox, but I would like to know what the club thought the message was when, negotiating a new deal for Delph a few months ago, he asked for a release clause at 8m - woefully less than he's worth, and coincidentally what we paid for him - and they agreed to put it in.

That's one thing.

Then I wonder what they were thinking when, despite this release clause - which was quite clearly a "let's stick this in here so you don't get no fee for me when I fuck off in the summer, but that's what I am going to do" clause, because who on earth thinks an 8m release clause means anything other than that - they decided to make such an enormous deal over his new contract.

It looks incredibly naive. What on earth was that release fee ever going to mean but him leaving?

Delph is a snake for what he's done this week, and deep down, I suspect he knows it, but the club have shown incredible naivety in the way they've acted over this. They must have known this would happen, they must have accepted it when they put that mentally low release fee in.

I thought this sort of shit was meant to stop when we got rid of Faulkner and brought in Fox.

In hindsight it was massively naive, but at the time they might have thought given how the club was sinking fast and the fans were on the verge of really turning against the manager and players, it was the right thing to do to boost morale. I think they knew what they were doing. We now know it was all a sham.

Many posters were concerned about  Vlaar, Benteke and Delph going in the summer and you took great pride in disagreeing that this would happen. Now it's happened, what's your view?

Although I think Lambert is sticking the knife in reading between the lines they knew exactly what the release clause was all about when he signed up.

what on earth are you trying to prove here? Are you aiming to show how much outraged you are than another poster? Do you think Dave is happy that those players are leaving the club or have left?

So you are in Fox's shoes, Delph is saying this club has been a disgrace for a while and I am an England international, why should I stay. However I will, but I insist on this clause that if a top club wants me they can have me for £8m, you will get some money and I have back up if this club continues to be run crap. Give me an honest answer, phone a friend if you want, but no 50-50

Fox appears to be very good at spinning crap and getting away with it in a way Faulkner couldn't.  He knew full well that Delph would almost certainly go with such a low release clause, yet conveniently hid it from us.  His interview when he arrived and prattled on about getting into Europe, so how does orchestrating the exit of our better players fit into this then Tom

The guy is an out and out liar.  I wish he'd go back to Arsenal.

Neither.
But there is surely a point about posting something which, at the time can't be proven wrong, but turns out to be wrong, but later is clearly wrong and against the consensus on the forum.
If you don't accept this you are in 'the end of the world is nigh' territory. Still waiting for Dav's view.

After few hours now ive calmed down a lot and am now feeling much more upbeat. If Benteke and that other bloke hadn't have left we'd probably be spending about £20m on players like Adebayor, Townsend etc. So would have been left with pretty much the same team we've had the last few years. Now we should, SHOULD, have around £55m to spend which hopefully will get us 7 or 8 of these continental fellas we've been linked with, giving us a new looking team altogether. Out of these we may get a Tonev or Helenius, but we could also get a Benteke or two hopefully. In strange way looking forward to next season more now than I was week or so back.
