Always thought that Bobby Gould was a twat, tonight confirms it.
Any chance of a synopsis for those lucky enough not to have access to talksport?

I can't hear it either but as soon as the name Bobby Gould was mentioned I knew it would be a complete load of bollocks.

There's a video on Twitter of a Villa fan burning his Villa shirt. It's embarassing and not helped by the fact it sounds like he is masturbating as he gives a running commentary. Hope he's ruined his decking.

The two players, Delph and Sterling,  they represent all that is vacuous and craven about football, they have ended up at the club that totally represents all that turns us off our game. They are a perfect match.  The other club that sickens me is Chelsea,  and they now are starting to look like a club with a bit of class in comparison. They wouldn't want two shitkickers like them near them. Citeh used to be a club I had some sympathy for, the underdog in Manchester.  Now I'd take United anytime over them.

This from the official Villa site, short isn't it for the captain?

Aston Villa can confirm that Fabian Delph has exercised the release clause in his contract and will join Manchester City.

We'd like to wish him success in his future career.

success

FUCK THAT

I can almost hear a slow clap at the end of that club mini-statement.

Anyway, enough ranting and swearing about this. Onto something that really matters... Like, how many glasses of wine do I need to lovingly ply my missus with until she gives in tonight?

I go straight to the sherry.

I'm still staggered by his lack of honesty. How can he say he intended to stay when he inserted an £8 million buy out clause into the contract? It's just a blatant lie. He's an embarrassment of a man.

If people carry on actually believing what footballers say in prepared statements they will continually be disappointed

Ger
Gould is convinced that Delph changed his mind this week because with the sale of Sterling, Benteke is off to Liverpool as they now have the money for him.

'He's looked around the dressing room and thought, 'I don't fancy our chances'.'

(Dave made the point that Benteke leaving has been on the cards at the end of every season, but especially this one.)

Several people have pointed out that Delph said he would stay, last weekend, when the Sterling move was on.

Gould just keeps repeating his theory.

I can't listen to any more!

Yeah, but in this case it's not like it was wording that could be misinterpreted. He's just flat out lied.

While this shitstorm unfolded, the club asked its fans to tweet about their favourite Premier League moments on behalf of Sky.

Modern football, right there. Fucking ******, the lot of them.

I never took any of it seriously and said so at the time

The next player that walks through the doors at Villa and says 'great club' proud to play for them' etc will just be going through the motions of football speak

If you take what they seriously you will be let down more often than not
