I'm obviously incredibly pleased that he is staying and although I dislike most journalist organisations as much as the next man I'm not so sure this is something they should be slated for.
I mean really, how many times do they state that someone is going to have a medical and it not happen? When it gets to that stage of speculation they are certain. Even more clear is the removal of all things Delph before this U-turn by the club. Do people really think that happens for no reason?

I don't give much of a shit except for that release clause. Which I know some don't believe it exists but again journos are not all complete charlatans. I will be intrigued about what will happen after the Euro's. And although he said he wanted to 'put the record straight' he just said he was staying at this great club, not that it was all a load of bollocks.

For now though... Delph and Gueye... that'll do nicely.

Not entirely convinced by it all, especially if he failed their medical. And city probably won't go away. Still not 100% sure about thism, sounds dubious
What makes you think he failed their medical? It's reported that he did not travel there for a medical.

So, people who have no idea at all then?

Which they say at the bottom is satire.

There must be a lot of people on here going back through the last few pages and frantically pressing the delete button. :)

I was accused of being a nose last night for not laying into him.

Shut it nose
Enjoying reading some of last nights posts!! Feeling pretty smug now.
You have no reason to feel smug it's not as if you said he was staying. You just disagreed with the belting he was getting and to be honest that was all justified of he had gone.

But he didn't go so it wasn't justified.

Go on, punch him!

Maybe his alarm didn't go off, or he kept hitting snooze

I never said it was true. We have all spent 24 hours wondering what's been going on.  We still don't other than he's said he's now staying.

But not all of us are still moaning about it.

I don't mind if the release clause exists, in many ways it demonstrates the integrity of the man.
At some point he can leave, just like any other player, but that is the future and having him here next year is a huge bonus, especially when you consider he could've left for free.

That was the best analogy I could come up with at the time.

Like Benteke I think if they give is another good season then they can both go fair and square after the Euros .

If he leaves then he's going to look rather stupid after what he said when he signed.

True, but he wouldn't be the first player to knife the club in the back.  Downing anyone?

Come on let's have a bit of faith in Fabian. Can't we see what he said was honest. Downing not 100% and I think that amount of money offered had to be taken.. But  actually cleverly although on loan let villa down. He grew up in Bradford too . and we gave him a lifeline developed then leaves.

Let's trust delph!!! anyone who thinks he will leave and says so shud be reminded every game our captain plays this coming season that he's a loyal man

Thankyou delph ! Those who doubted are shameful unlike me.
