I kinda missed the furore yesterday other than texts,

what exactly was said (by whom)

and what do we know know is fact?

Did Man City trigger the clause and Delph rejected them?

Do we know for certain that the clause exists?

Nothing official by anyone.
Nothing.
Dunno, dunno.
No.
Have a look back. Page 106 was where I was accused of being a nose because I would not slate him. 😙

People have different settings (i.e 5/50 posts per page etc)
Oh ok. So take it back 30% or so.

Talksport are going to discuss Delph at 9pm. Didn't catch whole host is but he thinks it's brilliant that Delph turned down a money move because of loyalty to us.

Tuned in.

I notice that one of the City blog sites now has him changing his mind AFTER he'd had his medical.

Still to see just one shred of evidence that this deal was ever even on.

OK, even if we assume that virtually every single media outlet in the country was wrong, why did Villa take him off the website and his posters down from the the shops if nothing was going on?

Reaction to mass Internet hysteria?

Not entirely convinced by it all, especially if he failed their medical. And city probably won't go away. Still not 100% sure about thism, sounds dubious

Never expected to hear this news.  I was certain he was off.  Obviously he was big enough to think "can I really do this to a club that's stuck by me in hard times".  Well done Fabian.

Oh and Rodney Marsh is a Grade 1 pillock.

@RodneyMarsh10 Delph happy to stay at a club going nowhere rather than trying win a place at City.  Interesting.

@RodneyMarsh10 Great.  Sitting by the pool in Florida drinking Starbucks and reading tweets from dopey Villa fans.

I love it. "You might be angry, but I am by a pool, in FLORIDA drinking STARBUCKS.

As if no one else have ever been to Florida before, or even had a Starbucks. As a "I'm chilling whilst you're stressing" wind up, it's pretty weak.

But if they did, you still believe he'll stay ?

Yes. I trust him. What he said when he signed the contract goes above and beyond what he needed to say. That we're in a year when players are competing for places at the Euros also changes things slightly as well.

He'd be an idiot to leave and I don't think he's an idiot.

Delph will be a Villa player on the 1st of September 2015 (or whatever is the day after the window shuts). Mark my words.

 ;D

Well done Delphy.

On this disinformation emotional rollercoaster, it crossed my mind-there couldn't be another interested party throwing their twopennuth worth in the ring?

There must be a lot of people on here going back through the last few pages and frantically pressing the delete button. :)

I was accused of being a nose last night for not laying into him.

Shut it nose
Enjoying reading some of last nights posts!! Feeling pretty smug now.
You have no reason to feel smug it's not as if you said he was staying. You just disagreed with the belting he was getting and to be honest that was all justified of he had gone.

It'd be nice if Delph gets some recognition from the wider footballing public for his loyalty.  Most fans must pray that their star player demonstrates similar loyalty so I hope they extend some gratitude to him, consequently making other footballers think a bit more. Similarly it is quite a USP for any marketing companies.

What makes you think he failed their medical? It's reported that he did not travel there for a medical.

But he didn't go so it wasn't justified.
