The only thing good that comes out of this (apart from Fabian standing by his words in January) is that it reinforces what a complete and utter c*** James Nursery really is.

Personally, I think he has one eye on the Euros next summer, and the fact he has a reasonable chance of making the starting 11, and  definitely the squad.  Add in a season of the odd appearance for City and that position would be in danger - and he knows it.

The release clause is still there, it's not gone away, but if he has another 'ever present' (or close to it) season for us and makes the Euros squad and team, then he can probably go next year.

I'll get over it if you remove the clause!

I wonder how much his agent had to do with all this?

There must be a lot of people on here going back through the last few pages and frantically pressing the delete button. :)

Hmmm. That's unexpected. Great news.
The sky is no longer falling in I guess.

Just goes to show don't believe anything the press say until he's got the shirt on. Have to admit I thought he was a goner.

I was accused of being a nose last night for not laying into him.

Wow.  I look forward to reading his biography in 10 years to see what the hell has just happened...
