I wouldn't have any issue with Delph leaving if he hadn't come out with that loyalty bullshit in January. He really must have no conscience whatsoever. Certain players have been giving football a bad name for years now but the actions of Delph, and even worse, Raheem Sterling are a new low.

Again, if he had no conscience whatsoever, he could just have left on a free.

Is it impossible that he changed his mind?

I'm finding it hard to understand the anger towards Delph. Do you think it was his idea to come out with those comments? I'm angry towards the club for letting his contract run down, agreeing to an 8m release clause (although they may not have had a choice, we don't know), making and releasing that video, the kit promos that were released only a few days ago. I'd love an explanation for those things.

So basically, everything the club does is wrong, and everyone who shits on them is fine.

Farewell Fabian. Always over-rated. Hopefully not too missed. You'll never play for that lot.

Whilst nothing really surprises us in football that is bollox. Not blaming club at all as if players believe it is time to go then always difficult to change the heart. But this really hurts, do you know what I mean?

We stayed up somehow last season and he didn't go on a free. Damage control.

If you look at the two futures *on the pitch* though, I think Villa will come out on top and Delph will come out of it with a half dozen starts and ten off the bench in three years time, loaned out to a bottom half of the table club before leaving Citeh on a free.

Has he actually signed?
If he has we move on, good player in a shit team. Could he improve and step up into the City team, Possibly.
I do not think as good as Milner if I had a choice for one of them, and James was not a first choice for city.
Pisses me off if he has left with his I love Villa bullshit.
What really hurts is the ongoing feeling of impotence that whenever we have someone who looks the part, it is only a matter of time before they leave.
Until we step up as a club it will ever be so.
Fuck him by the Way, wave the notes on his return.

If we are all honest, we thought last season before January he was on his way. The comments he made were inspiring at the time, cringeful now. I am disappointed with him going as think the club are now trying to move forward, but this champions league tosh is all the rage. I hope he does not live to regret his decision as am sure Man City will be buying a few more big players soon

I feel a bit of a twat for believing him now. I think I'd rather he did a Vlaar and just gone with no pretensions

In the midst of all the greedy, glory hunting, hyped up average players of the premiership I had deluded myself that Delph was different and he actually cared about the club and his own reputation. I was actually proud that our Captain had fought through his injuries, with his comments and commitment to a new contract.
Yes he could have just gone on a free, yes he has the right to change his mind but he has cut another one of those threads I was clinging on too that maybe some things in football can be different.
People keep asking me if Im looking forward to the football season starting again and at this moment I can honestly say I dont really care.

I think the other party in this transaction are getting off a bit lightly. So FUCK you Man City you fucking cancer on the game. And fuck Chelsea too while I'm at it. Not to mention the Premier League who created this abomination.
