Oh dear -

Aston Villa have reportedly agreed a Ł9m fee with Lille for midfielder Idrissa Gueye.

And that could give Liverpool and Manchester City a boost in their pursuit of Fabian Delph.

The England international has been linked with a move up the Premier League. City in particular are thought to be keen as they seek to improve their home-grown quota, while Liverpool are after a replacement for Steven Gerrard.

Delph only signed a new contract at the Midlands club earlier this year, but it seems that Villa still fear that they could lose him.

Tim Sherwood has moved to bring in a ready-made replacement, with Sky Sports claiming that 25-year-old Gueye arrived at Birmingham airport today to undergo a medical and discuss personal terms.

The Senegalese, who helped Lille finish eighth in Ligue 1 last season, would be Villa’s most expensive purchase since the signing of Charles N’Zogbia from Wigan Athletic in 2011.

Why 'oh dear'? That's the most speculative article ever.

What's Oh Dear? Do you shit yourself at every bit of new information? It's no different to any of the news, rumours, bollocks and gossip that has been published over the past few days.

So Henderson and Milner don't exist then?

My biggest fear is CiŁy will snap him up (or have already agreed to in principle) hence us rushing this Gueye deal over the line ASAP.

There's not even any of that in there.  The only actual information is about our bid for a player.

How are we rushing a deal? For all you know he might have been scouted weeks or even months ago and the first rumours about some guy named like a cheese were heard a few days back. It's the transfer window, deals happen in transfer windows!

But you said last week that he was replaceable. You've not got a clue, you really haven't.

If we sign no one, it's a bad thing. If we sign someone cheap, it's a bad thing. If we sign someone for a decent wedge, it's a bad thing.
I'm convinced SV could win the lottery, wake up next to Kaley Cuoco, we get taken over by the world's richest bloke, sign Messi the next day, and it would still be a bad day for SV!  ;D

But can Messi play at left back?  Or come to think about it centre half?

All I did was raise a concern. If gueye is in and Delphi out ? Fine if you're on comfortable street with that.
