As it's clearly BS clampie

But you said yesterday that he hadn't set the world alight and suggested he wouldn't be missed Sillyvilla.
What I said was I don't think he's irreplaceable.

Then why did you hope that big bidders were put off....oh i give up, you've no fucking idea what you're on about.

What I don't like about the media is how easily things are accepted. We now have Cascarino commenting on the Delph story. We still don't know the value of Benteke's clause but £32.5m has been thrown around so much that its accepted as fact.

Telegraph suggesting that there is a release clause, but it's "significantly higher than the suggested £10million".

Bit concerning the story is spreading to other outlets - sky, metro etc.
Not to me because that's how it works. One of them runs a story, could be based on fact could be bollocks, the rest just repeat it.
And another thing.... metro and mirror is same group
As is our oh so very local Birmingham Mail.

Although John Percy is now reporting he could leave for as little as £8 million! Are they making it up as they go along?

Jesus Christ

Delph leaving for that sum after all that "my club" bullshit a few months ago would be worse than Downing in my book

I hope it doesn't happen.

I would like to think that Delph is in the same frame of mind as he was when he signed the contract a few months ago, so if there is any kind of truth in this then the club should have his contract amended and/or issue a statement as soon as possible. We really don't need this kind of speculation and media attention surrounding our best players at the moment.

I can understand the buy out clause tbh. Delph could have easily left on a free and we would be well and truly in the mire. He may well have done it in case things were not looking better.

As for now, it is obvious from twitter that he is good mates with Micah Richards. I do wonder if Richards would have come in if he had known Delph would be moving on and lets face it, they will have talked? Secondly, why would he be spouting about next season and this is his club if he thinks he is going to p off.

Thirdly, and quite importantly, the euros next season. Will he be happy to be a squad player at the likes of Man City when it is imperative for him to be impressing the doddery old guy in charge of England?

In other words, I think James Nursery is a twat and causing hassle yet again

Hmm. John Percy does have more credibility than nursey. £8m clearly a lot better than zilch but it is a shockingly low fee. Quite an unusual situation - can't think of a similar instance elsewhere

Don't blame villa for agreeeing to such a clause during this season's negotiation. The mistake was letting it get to six months from the end of his contract in the first place!

Hopefully delph's mindset is to see how we do next year before making a decision.

I disagree. If a top four club came in for him and he thought he'd get games it would be some gesture to stay. He would otherwise have been cutting his chances of that short by signing a new deal. quite savvy. We should have just signed him up twelve months earlier
