Maybe £12m is a buy-out clause amount?

If there is a buy-out clause - and the figure is £12m - then if it is that that persuaded Delph to sign his new contract a few months ago then fair enough.

Besides - £12 plus Borini = £10million.

£12m for his left foot, what about the right? If they think Sterling is worth £50m then they need to think on.

I'm going to treat this rumour with the contempt it deserves

Unless Delph has hinted to Sherwood he wants out.

Why would he have signed a 4 year deal less than 6 months ago?

Sherwood isn't about to sell the player he made captain only a months ago for a paltry £12m. A market that somehow valued Adam Lallana last summer at £25m and amazingly this summer Raheem Sterling in excess of £40m. Where does this nonsense come from?

Newspapers desperate for hits on their websites and to fill column inches in their newspapers.

They've got a hit rate worse than mine in XLs in the late 80s & early 90s.

Nursey is claiming an exclusive that Delphi has a 10m release fee.

Morrow now reporting that he has a £10m buyout clause

Would be way below market value. But then we didn't have much negotiating power when he signed.

Well if he does then he does.

If he leaves this summer then £10m is better than the £0 that we would have seen otherwise.

James Nursey, who said Ki was definitely coming last summer.

I'll reserve judgement on this one until a journalist reports it in a newspaper.

yes, the same Nursey who had a Chinese consortium exclusive a few weeks back. That right after the FA Cup we'd be sold.

I just can't see it being so low or him going after his comments or the fanfare after him signing out indeed the Euros next summer and his chances of regular football prior to that.

The article calls us 'relegation threatened.' Last time I looked it was 26th June and a ball hasn't been kicked this season yet.

It then goes on to say that Delph has us 'over a barrel' despite there not being the slightest indication he is looking to leave even if there is such a clause in his contract.

Truly p**s poor effort.

I wonder if the clause kicks in had we been relegated? Rather than a straight ten mill and he's yours type transfer?

True or not we could really do without this.

It's probably more James Nursey bollocks. It wouldn't be the first time.

Oh and he hasn't put it on his twitter page, so he can't be that confident about it.
