The club has given me a great platform to perform and a great opportunity to showcase what I can do," he said.
"The fans have been great with me, the chairman has been absolutely fantastic with me and I have a great relationship with the manager and I see the boys here as my brothers, my family and I am delighted to stay here.
"I am a loyal person and committing my future will hopefully show everybody what type of guy I am.
"I feel like this is me - I love the club, I love being here and I want to put 100 per cent into everything I do here. This is my club and I want to be here. That's why I am committing my future.
"Hopefully it will give everyone a bit of a lift and show the fans that we are looking to do big things here and bring excitement back to the club.
"We want to get through this season, do well and I feel the up-and-coming years will be big.
"There was no way I was going to bail out. I am here for the long run.
"The fans have been the same. I am sure they will stick with us, help us get through this season and then looking into the future, it looks promising to me."

Delph January 25th. I can't see that emphatic a statement being turned round in 6 months.

and that statement was made after several weeks where there were several "exclusives" of him walking away from the club and refusing to sign a new deal.

Would we miss him if he was replaced ? Hardly set B6 alight
I assume that if he were to leave then you would use it as further evidence that the sky were about to fall on our heads.

There is nothing contradictory about that. Yes he's our best midfielder , but that's not saying much.
Our whole club needs a "re-set" if that involves Delph going and money coming in for a repar , I'm not losing too much sleep.

Fuck me, backpeddle any faster and you'll fall over.

So you hope the figure one week is high enough to put people off, but we wouldn't miss him if he was replaced?

Hmm.

Not at all . How many goals did he score in PL last season ? How many assists ? It's a shame if someone set the release clause at £10m but then again we weren't exactly in a strong position at the time , in part thanks to his own contribution.

But you said a week ago that you hope clubs are put off by a high price tag. This week you're saying he dosen't score or assist? You're making it up as you go along.

Not at all , his whole time here is synonymous with garbage.
I won't lose sleep over any of them going with the possible exception of Benteke .

This pertains to a holistic view and our clubs need for a step change.

So we sell our best midfielder in order to change?

If he leaves then he's going to look rather stupid after what he said when he signed.

True, but he wouldn't be the first player to knife the club in the back.  Downing anyone?
