Can't remember which one that was. I always thought he had scored in a cup game for us early in his career where he picked it up from the halfway line and went past several players in that clumsy gait of his but he must have missed / been saved as the Brighton match doesn't have that description.Brighton at home in front of The Holte in the FA Cup. Close range, although I can't remember the build up.

Anyway back on topic - will he ever score a boring goal?
Delfouneso hit the post with a rasping effort at the end of a fine individual 30-yard run as Villa looked, in vain, to add the fourth.
That's right - I've just checked, and although I can't remember the Delph goal from reading the match report I can remember:QuoteDelfouneso hit the post with a rasping effort at the end of a fine individual 30-yard run as Villa looked, in vain, to add the fourth. It was when Delfouneso did that I was completely sure that he was going to be brilliant for us.*sigh*
The goal Delph finished against Rotherham this season was one of the best team goals I've seen us score in a very long time.

It's like we needed Zapruda sat in the upper Doug to document it because trying to find any other convincing evidence of it is practically impossible unless you were actually there.

I saw it on SSN that evening but it seems to have disappeared since, except for the odd one or two clips that don't show the full move. It's also difficult to find clips showing the entire (25 or so passes) move for Weimann's goal at Anfield last year, too.

I imagine in about 25 years the British government will release footage of both events along a number of other state secrets in a Commons paper that nobody will read. Also revealed a flashing light in the sky near Cornwall, a mysterious footprint in Sutton Park and an apology for Piers Morgan.
Adam Johnson dropping some truth bombs.http://www.theguardian.com/football/2014/mar/19/adam-johnson-england-down-to-who-you-play-for"All my caps came when I was at City. Sometimes I got picked when I wasn't playing. Now I'm playing more and I can't get a cap. It's just a fact. It's not me being sour. Some of the players, if they weren't playing for the big clubs, wouldn't be anywhere near it [the squad].
