If the last two performances have proved anything, it's that we've got fuck all to be afraid of.The world is ours if we want it.
More from Jose Mourinho, this time on Aston Villa boss Paul Lambert's protests that Branislav Ivanovic should have been sent off for a clash with Christian Benteke before heading home Chelsea's winner: "Benteke makes a lot of fouls and the opponent who plays against him has to make a lot of fouls. "Paul Lambert reminds me of me at his age. Now I complain with some decisions, at his age I complained at every decision. Paul complains at every decision, I was the same. Benteke and Ivanivic, they are two giants, it was 50/50."
All this 'it was the referee's fault' makes us sound quite a lot like the Arsenal fans we were laughing at a couple of days ago.A couple of decisions went against us tonight, there will be another game this season when a couple of decisions will go in our favour.

I can't wait for Saturday. We are a football club to be reckoned with again.

That's fine Dave and you're going to be proved right, but until that happens we can only talk about the now. Tonight the decisions weren't even marginal. They had a big impact on the result. One thing bleating when it's 7-0 and they make it 8, but if it's a tight game every decision is a big one. Those were decisions a ref in PL should have been better in making. He didn't do that. The ref was right with his calls at the weekend apart from maybe not sending Vlaar off. To compare the two is night and day Dave. Not sending Ivanovic off was no worse than not sending Benteke off for his equivalent elbow in May. Presumably because Benteke wasn't sent off for that means the referee was biased in our favour last season? The offside was pretty marginal, offside yes, but it's not as if someone who is half a foot offside is always going to be seen as that. We're talking about a few inches. The Terry penalty, if the referee decides that he's falling (which he looked to be to me) then it's going to be difficult for it to be deliberate handball. I'd have given it by I can see why he didn't. It's a shame and the decisions didn't go for us, but it's hardly South Korea 2002. All this stuff about corruption and match-fixing just makes people sound like a bunch of danlanzas.

Floodlight robbery!
Referee bottled the big decisions he had to make in the game. It is all very well making soft bookings for technical things but when you fail to take action on key matters, then you should not be officiating at this level.Ivanovic should have been given a straight red and even then, he could should have been booked for one of the two fouls afterwards. If he hadn't of been booked already, the ref would have booked him. Ramirez in the first half took Delph (I think) really late and nothing and yet when KEA blocks late, he gets booked.I could go on but what's the point. The top teams seem to have matches refereed in their favour and that is it.By the way, we played very well in the 2nd half after digging in in the 1st. The three in the middle worked together extremely well and closed down space.
