Those ratings are just silly, there is no way you win away at one of the top 4 with half your team getting 5s and 6s.
I'd agree with him.

We can, and will play much better than we did yesterday. Arsenal just weren't very good.

KEA - 6? Benteke - 5?

I agreed with your comment about us not actually playing that well, but they are extremely harsh, no?
No, I'd not agree with the ratings specifically. If I were to give marks out of ten then I'd give another point to each of them.

But following a 3-1 win away to Arsenal I'd expect to be giving eights and nines and there are only a few players that would get that sort of score.

As I said in an earlier comment, this is a great thing. If we're winning comfortably away to Arsenal and not being any more that just good, then well done us.

In my view you should average around 6.5, so a decent performance with a touch of brilliance is a 7 and a with a single error is a 6 and iterate around that.  Given that Id go with 8s for clark, gabby and delph and 7s for the rest, which i think is fair, kea and guzan would be borderline on 8s as well though, but the other 3 were the 3 best players on the pitch in my opinion and deserve to be rated as such.

So you'd rate the people that you thought were our best players as 8,8,8 and he'd rate them as 7,7,8. So it's not like anyone's having a big dispute.

I'd agree with him that Benteke was nothing spectacular. He didn't really do much apart from score two penalties (and nearly messed one of them up completely) and miss a fairly simple chance towards the end. I can easily see how someone would rate him harshly on yesterday's performance.

I don't care about Arsenal....

What a day.

Me neither, but what does annoy me is when the "big club" managers like Wenger moan bitterly on the very rare occasions when they feel decisions go against them, yet seem to forget that they have received and continue to receive more than their fair share of favourable decisions over the course of many seasons.

If clubs worry enough about the Benteke threat and that creates space for the others then I think he can be allowed the odd 'off' day.

Just wait till he's on fire!

I'd argue that a 6 is a standard performance. On that basis, I thought benteke was below par but in hindsight I agree he merited a 6. Weimann was quite poor though I thought.

According to the "official line" as espoused by one Graham Poll, it was wrong to yellow card Szczesny for the first penalty, as he clearly tried to play the ball, the challenge was careless not reckless and therefore did not merit a yellow. For the second penalty he would not have awarded a foul, the tackle was a genuine attempt to play the ball, it was careless and no yellow should have been given.

What an absolute plonker.

Arsenal really need to get over themselves, every time they lose, it's everyone's fault but their own. In reality we out muscled them and they were too weak to stand up to us.

The attitude of Wilshere epitomised this.

You have to work hard to win games but Arsenal think that their reputation, status and style of football is enough. Villa won't be the only side to highlight their misgivings this season and the pressure bought to bear on Wenger is entirely of his own making.

Poll ha- the guy whos claim to fame is he  booked the same player 3 times in a World Cup - his opinion is worthless.
