Who is going to be the 3rd midfielder/player in the hole. I reckon he will play KEA rather than Tonev or Helenius

I take Vlaar and Baker with Luna and Lowton.
Westwood El Ahmadi Delph
Weimann Agbonlahor Benteke

And Gabby and Weimann 5/1 anytime and for them to score 2 or more is 60/1 are you kidding !!

I'm that confident Villa will win this tie I wont post for a month if they dont!!  In fact they could well be highest scoring team of weekend and 100/1 I love it !!
:) I put my balls on line and say Villa will win 2-4! I be there in the arsenal end !! come on the villa boys!!

Arsenal will be strong favourites, but we have nothing to fear and it maybe a good first game where we can relax away from home with the pressure on them and nothing to lose for us.

I think we can get a draw and to me that is a good result, so I will go 2-2 with Bentake and Lowton to get ours.

As long as we get a few points from those first three games I will be happy.

Am confident that we can improve on last season (not than that would be hard of course), but can see a mid-table finish and with plenty to build on from there.  The younger players should be better this year, and we are one of the only PL sides to have got our business done early in the summer which should allow us to settle in easily.  Hopefully Gabby has a more consistent season this time because you can't relay on one forward too much.

I'll be happy to be proved wrong, but KEA doesn't suit the type of football Lambert has settled on playing. I think when Lambert first arrived he hedged his bets and went for players that he felt could improve the team 'somehow' that didn't break the bank, but by the end of the season he'd found the style the majority of the squad are most comfortable with - high energy, forward looking, rush defence and overwhelm flimsy defences. You put El-Ahmadi in the middle of that, he looks as useful as tits on a fish.

The ironic thing is that if Lambert had a plan B, KEA is the kind of player you should build it around.
I disagree. KEA was an integral part of a Feyenoord team who play a similar brand of football. He has struggled with the pace over here which has affected his ability to dictate tempo and begin attacks as he did for Feyenoord. It is his failure to adjust that has perhaps made him look a poor player at times but he does possess instinctive quality as he has shown in flashes. His assist for Benteke at Wallsall for instance is the sort of ball that I doubt hardly any other player in our squad could even come close to producing.

Actually, for all Arsenals injury woes, that a pretty decent attacking line up they have.

Ramsay and Wiltshire looks soft as anything. I cannot see Walcott or Podolski putting in the same sort of shift Gabby and Andi do going the other way either.

First day of the new season and I've awoken feeling unusually confident of a 3-1 win to Villa.
