Barton's (pre-match Malaga)
« on: August 09, 2013, 07:31:09 PM »
Anyone going to be in the Barton's pre-match tomorrow? As for once i'm not selling the fanzine before a home game I thought I might pop in for a quick snifter.

Hell, yeah, Brother Shin. Our crowd are in the usual seats from 12. Mike J is around tomorrow. Frank and assorted family are in and who knows what Spanish Lions he can find. Outside of that, Stu who posts on here is popping in as well.

Normal drill. Through the front doors, turn right and top table before you go down the steps to the main bar.

Smoke me a pancake, I'll be back for breakfast.

I normally park around Electric Avenue way so I don't know that side all that well. However seeing as the old fella is giving tomorrow a miss and i'm on me todd I think i'll brave the wilds of Aston Park and go and see what the fuss is about at this Bartons gaff.  I'll be the fat bastard with last years home short sleeved shirt on top of last years away long sleeved shirt trying to decide whether to have a pint or a myocardial infarction.

I might come down to the Bartons tomorrow for a coke (driving to Villa for the 1st time) put some faces to internet personas. Where abouts do I walk from the ground?

Up to Six Ways and then left as though going back into town is the most straight forward.

If all goes to plan with the stuff i'm doing before the game i'll be there around 1.30. I'll be the big bloke with a shaved head wearing a Champions of Europe trackie top. Unless it's really hot. Then i'll be the big bloke with a shaved head wearing something else.

Why don't you park at the Bartons and than walk up to VP?

That's a long walk. Try parking in Whitehead road/Albert road area.

In the city centre? If so, yes.

Is the nightclub still in the same area as The Bartons Arms ? Was quite famous in the 70's and 80's , name escapes me.
