Thought he put a couple of useful looking crosses over last night. Unfortunately they were at times when only Wiemann was in the box. If he can learn to pick-out Benteke, I think he's capable of producing a few assists this season.

Really impressed with him so far, he looks a snip at £1.7m.

I'm also surprised no-one has thought of a song for him to the tune of Button Moon.

Lets sing for Tony Moon
He's faster than Chris Froome

Definitely very happy with him.

Don't think he'll get the assists Bennett did though, as he doesn't have the same cross on him. But worth it while Bennett looks so weak defensively. But we'll need Lowton to get back to his best or we risk lacking width.

I do like Bennett but i think luna has a decent overlap and cross on him and gets forward often , i agree Lowton has looked off form so far and he needs to deliver soon or bacuna may well get the nod .

Same could be said regarding Westwood who hasn't yet recaptured last seasons form , with kea and sylla waiting for the chance Westwood needs to step up or risk losing his place.

Healthy competition for places though which was sadly lacking last season.

I went to an agricultural show today and they were doing ferret racing, and I bet on Luna to win and it did!

*bump*

Those who enjoy the work of thriller writer and Villa fan Lee Child might like to know that his latest work, `Personal', contains a reference to a character called Antonio Luna, from whom a female character has borrowed some tranquillisers.

Quote from: Lee Child
...she dug in her own pocket and came out with her pills cupped in her hand. seven of them. Fewer than before. She blew dust off them, and picked up the bottle, and popped the lid with her thumb, and shovelled the pills back inside
I said, `Who is Antonio Luna?'
'A friend of mine,' she said. 'I call him Tony Moon.'
 `A co-worker?'
 ` Just a guy I know'

I wonder what will happens next season to players like Tony Moon, Gladiator, Joe Bennett, Gary Gardner, and Yacouba Sylla. Will someone get their chance. It would be interesting to see who Tim Sherwood like or don't like.

They could all be in the team if there's a league game away at Bristol City
