When Arse score he's the only defender anywhere close to doing something and he is looking behind him as Giroud touches the ball into the net. He is caught between Giroud and whoever the Arse player is behind him.
Not a criticism, just observation, even a bit of praise. ie: he was only one quick enough to get back; where was every other defender?
But f**k it. We won and Mr Moon scored a tonker!

I think the word great gets thrown about too easily. I was happy with his display and yes he played well to disrupt Walcott. I wonder if people would have the same opinion without the goal? Don't want to dismiss his performance because it was against Arsenal and his first game in English football. Off course, it's entirely possible I'm being a little harsh too.
Great post.
Come on it didn't start that well but got better and then a great finish, yes a great post.

See, I don't actually think it was that great.

Brilliant coverage of the Villa Fans singing - I'm just below the Arse fans in the clip - lovely to see them looking so pissed off while the Villa victory songs resound around the stadium as Aston Villa secure a well-deserved victory at The Emirates (always sounds like a bit of a nasty infection to me - "ooh, I've got the emirates again" - scratch, scratch, flibble - rub on random unction).
I am so proud of our (fans') turnout and conduct on the day and so proud to be part of the Villa support at all games, especially away. We are one of the best groups of fans in the country and it's great to see that PL and the players acknowledge that.

Agreed, but with the exception of that cringeworthy "I don't care about Arsenal, they don't care about me" song. I was hoping it was a one-off at Wigan but looks like it might become a regular. I can't stand it.

can't believe i seen people comment that he shouldn't of been that high up for his goal, watch the replay he charged from back post blocked there shot and then when the ball fell to Andi he had the guts to burst forward receive the pass and finish like a forward pro.

was very impressed with his whole contribution on saturday.

Weimann overhit the pass rather than play it into his path. Can do better.

Done deliberately. It enabled him to cut inside and use his left foot...
