I liked the way he cut back inside a little to open up that side of the goal before slotting it home.  By doing so, he could have put it either side of the 'keeper.  A well taken goal for any player but for a defender, it was excellent.

They're all truly fab!
Can we sing all of them, in strict rotation, led by Choirmaster Woodhall, wearing one of those posh dinner suit things, waving his stick about standing atop the cross bar at the Holte End?

Just a thought.

I think we have three 'if fit play' players who are 100% first pick for the team, Guzan, Benteke and Delph,
I am hoping Luna will become the next

I would add Lowton and Westwood to those.

Totally agree, you have to put Lowton and Westwood in the mix, looking good for Tony Moon, I just want Okore to make CB his own and tighten up our defence.
Very exciting times, love to see what Tonev can Helenius can do in the prem.

Seeing Tony Moon in that position was like seeing a dolphin in the desert. He had no right to be there, but he spotted the opportunity and went for it hell for leather. It was beautifully taken, as was Weimann's pass, which totally flummoxed Arsenal's defence, and it came at a time that made every Villan breathe a sigh of relief that would put out a forest fire. It's already one of my all-time favourite Villa goals.

I've said a few times to people at work I firmly believe Luna will be a cult hero at Villa within a few months, he's done everything perfectly for a new guy coming to the club, he's engaged with the fans and got into the Tony Moon thing, every interview (like all the new guys) is really positive, he's got a great work rate, he scored on his debut and he even has a beard!

...and he even has a beard!
Nope, he's shaved it off.

Unless it's grown back since yesterday.

He's got stubble.
I'm on holiday - not shaved for 5 days.
Rumour is he's he's basing his image on a cool, 59 year old dude from Aston.
I think he's on to a winner!

Ok, he even has pictures of himself in a villa kit sporting a beard, better?  :D

I played left back for Adridge and Brownhills in 1970.
Right back was a guy called John Barton - played for Everton and England U23s.
I played for Moor Utd in the Sutton Sunday League.
I'm telling you Tony Moon is using me as a model pro.
And I could drink Barton under the table any day!
Luna - legend in the making - sporting stubble at the Emirates and scoring a peach of a clincher!

Buy me Tony Moon
Let him be a Villa star
Let me see what class is like
One-on-one, against the Arse

Thoughts?

I like the thought of thousands of macho Holte-Enders singing something with the line "One on one, against the arse"

Just said to a mate - when he came galloping towards us on Saturday is one of my favourite villa moments from the last 10 years or so.

My 10 year old lad was stood on his seat , grabbing my shoulders , shouting in my ear - doing a one man monologue which went something like - ''who's that !?'' , ''It's Luna!!'' , ''It's Tony Moon!!!'' , ''Go on Tony '', ''Go on Tony '', ''Go on Tony '', ''Go on Tony '' - '' YEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSS

Pure, unbridled pleasure - just magic !!
