Maybe it is just me but I judge full-backs on whether they can defend first and foremost.

I don't agree he was awful at all.

He does look a little suspect defensively though I agree.

Thought he was very good v Walsall, maybe it was the pressure of the 22k fans at VP ;D

He was impressive against Wallsall because he had no defending to do! Against Luton he was awful. Against Crewe he was booked for tugging one of their players back who had left him for dead. Not to mention his defensive contribution at Mallorca where he was poor defensively whenever I saw them. Joe Bennett was much improved towards the end of last season and it's a shame he had to pick up an injury and miss most of preseason.

Alan Hutton is probably muttering how on earth his team mate from last season is in ahead of him.

Difficult to judge in pre season though.

Do wish we'd come up with a better song though. "Luuuuuuna Luuuna Luuuna" = zzzzzzz

Because he looks good going forward, rather than Bennett who is naff offensively and defensively.

This the same Bennett that has probably the best cross at the club when he has some confidence? Offensively he has the potential to be excellent.

Their number 19 was skinning all our players, so harsh to pick out Luna I reckon. The 19 switched flanks and skinned us both sides. And in MF. At times it seemed he was playing us on his own, and winning.

No idea, that's why I have to keep calling him number 19. They didn't have names on the back of their shirts. I was very very impressed with him, MOTM comfortably in my opinion.

Hes slower than Bennett but stronger, hes ok, but will struggle against Walcott.Bennett played very well against Walcott last season.

Their 2 wide players played well today, thought Luna was better than Lowton tbh.

It's true when the polish lad swapped sides he skinned lowton twice.

Another vote for their number 19. He looked very handy.

Their number 19 was Pawlowski. I agree that he was one of the best players on the pitch.
