I think that's a very bad start to the season. Potentially two defeats out of our first three games. Would've much preferred to get a couple of wins and then play the likes of Arsenal and Chelsea.

On the other hand, get a good couple of results out of it and it sets the team up with a bit of confidence.

Chelsea away will be moved though and most likely played in November or something.

Don't see why we won't get a point v Liverpool at least as Sturridge is still be injured and the Suarez saga could still rumble on.

I agree about Liverpool. We should be looking to win that one.

Why will Chelsea away be moved?

Have ESPN still got the 5.30 p.m. slot?

I think it is tied up with BT sport now. My old man, like me, has SKY sports but not ESPN. But from next season he can now get the BT sports including their PL games free because he has BT broadband.

We seem to start our season in London more often than any of the London clubs.
I don't mind that, but finishing at Spurs doesn't sound like fun - or Sunderland away on New Year's Day and Cardiff away on a Tuesday night in February!

The TV games don't get announced until July 8th so don't get booking trains or planes just yet.

New Years Eve will be celebrated in Newcastle then. Looking forward to the 23rd November...

Do any of the Sky Four ever play each other on the first day?

I always fancy us at Arsenal. There has only been one occassion since they moved when we've been awful and that was under TSM.

The other time they did us 3-0 was when Fabregas was wheeled out for twenty minutes while injured and put in a world class performance.

At least we're guaranteed to be at home at 3pm on Boxing Day for the first time since about 1989.  There's no way they'll move the Palace game for TV.

Why will Chelsea away be moved?

They're playing Bayern in the Super Cup that weekend.

Better get those bigger games out of the way early as opposed to when those teams have settled down and in full flight.
This.

Arse, 'The Mighty Reds YNWA' and Chelsea to start, away first and last games of the season again - either someone doesn't like us or they're taking the piss. Surprised they didn't make the Palace game away on Boxing Day just to rub it in!

The Palace fans have the reverse journey, though. And I could see it becoming the 5.30 TV game.
