Snobs is getting knocked down for some kind of redevelopment

What/who is the source of your information? Can't see anything boutit on tinternet.

I've got a Birmingham City Council ITK  ;)

But like most people who claim to be ITK, its quite likely to be total bull, so I wouldnt crack out the black armbands yet.

It's bollocks second post down.

Apparently Lech Poznan are trying to work out who to pay the 10% sell-on fee for Tonev to, as CSKA Sofia are in the process of going bankrupt. The article claims that Lech Poznan are trying to make a EUR360k payment, which would mean the fee Villa paid was EUR3.6M or pretty much exactly £3M.

Not too sure about that. This doesn't look like just building a hotel upstairs.

It did lighten the atmosphere on Saturday when Tonev came on and promptly parked one into Row Z

I wasn't really following the match thread on here on Saturday, but I did dip in once or twice.

At one point of dipping, it was "here comes Tonev" and so on.

I went for a piss, came back, refreshed and it was the first comment about shooting from 50 yards and the ball coming down somewhere on Saddleworth Moor.

This place does make me chuckle sometimes.

At least he had two shots during the time he was on the field. How many did Gabby and Andi have?

He never ever looks like winning a prize though

I thought he did ok when he came on actually. Yeah, he did his normal blaze over the bar but he looked livelier than Gabby did.

As soon as he came on he ran at his man, made a yard for himself and then blazed it into the sky.

At least he managed the first two, something that Gabby hasn't done for many moons. He was also very close with his curling effort later on. There's definitely a player in there, he just needs one of his ferocious shots / clearances to go in.

I wonder if he is shooting because he wants to score a wonder goal for us, or whether the movement ahead is so crap that he decides it is the lesser of two evils to shoot.

His second curling shot wasn't too far wide of the post. De Gea was certainly concerned.

It's a fair point. Benteke is lazy around the box and Weimann hopeless. In the pre-season match against Malaga he set up Benteke with a lovely little through ball and he got an assist from a brilliant whipped in corner. Everyone watching thought that he could be the number 10 that we needed. Then the season starts and the movement up top is almost non-existent, which is probably why he shoots every opportunity he gets.

That being said he has had a couple opportunities to set up players in acres of space around the box and both times he decided to thunder one into row Z.

One of these days one of those shots is going to scream into the back of the net, almost ripping it off the posts. Unfortunately he'll likely be playing for someone else by then.

I was hoping for lot more from Tonev, and maybe he can still come good. Not looking great though.

He appears to be buying tickets for a different game most the time!
