It was no myth that the closure of Ansell's led to the water table rising in Aston.
I always pack my Wellingtons in case the Ansells Tsunami gets me.

The gasometers at Saltly are painted claret and blue because the manger of the site is a Villa fan...

My pleasure. Just let me know when you're ready. The sooner the better for me. Hard copy would be preferred (double-spaced).

That Ugo Ehiogu had a nightmare debut against Norwich.

Alex, will it be ready for me to do in August before I go back to work? I could devote time to it then. Once September kicks in it would have to be done on an as and when basis.

it'll be end of the year before it's done i reckon Lee. I'm 20,000 words in and expect it to be 50 or so

I know it has been discussed many times on here before, but I've heard a number of stories about that infamous pre-season game against Rangers in the 70s.

Shoot magazine did a feature on David Platt possibly returning to Villa in the summer of 1995. Imagine how excited I was as a 18 year old who'd been incredibly depressed when he left.

Shoot did another one in April, possibly 1997 - with Platt's head photoshopped on out kits. Turned out to be their idea of an April fool wankers.

The People linked us with Roberto Baggio in 1998.

Yes. It was that bad. They were rolling in the gutters in the city centre etc etc.

It wasn't pre-season.

A Police Dog being killed (glassing) by Rangers fans in the Holte.
I didn't go , so I am not claiming this to be true.
