I'm sorry but never mind Gabby, the win today was down to me

I'm out varnishing the arbour in my front garden with my headphones on, we go in front and I nearly fall off my ladder celebrating. I come inside to celebrate on here and they equalise. I return to my varnishing and we score a late winner. It is clear where I need to spend the rest of the season...

Excuse me. I  spent the afternoon cleaning the Upvc on the front door while finishing off a box of Aldi Brasserie beer. It's all down to me!

Perhaps I'm just a bit pissed but the Sky Sports pundits seemed to be really please we won.

Looking forward to MOTD tonight as it sounds like Gabby was awesome. Soton now in the mix too.

Step forward Lord Gabby and be annointed before the Holte End as a Living Villa Legend
Join the serried ranks of yore you fucking beauty!

Said it ages ago, the guy is a VILLA LEGEND, does it when it really matters, loves the Villa, could never see him play for anyone else. He's been the difference the last 2-3 months. Gabby WE LOVE YOU.

That Spurs goal helps us out a lot...

Great result, to massive wins in a few days. If we'd have picked up 4 points against Southampton over the season instead of them getting 6 off us how different would the league table look?

Not in a million year are we safe. Doesnt matter how many teams are below us, the points gap is still too small. Chelsea want Champions League and Wigan could need a win to stay up.

Hardest run in out of the lot for me

To be expected from the Olbiyun.

Hope the smalltime nobodies regain their rightful place in the lower reaches next year, pathetic bunch of bastards.

One point from the next two should do it.

Are Soton and Fulham back in the mix?  They won't be sleeping easy tonight either.

We're level on points with Fulham and as it stands, Soton are below us.

If Wigan beat Swansea on Tuesday, then everybody up to Fulham is bricking it.

Gabby easily and by far our best player today, of course, but I think some credit is due to Lichaj, who did a really solid job when he came on. He seemed to pretty much stop their attacking down their left hand side dead. Good lad.

Earlier in the season we'd have gone on to lose this so it speaks volumes about how far we've come.

Are we out of trouble....fucked if I know  :-\ but I think we'll get something out of next weeks game and at Wigan.

Ok, just need to let my pulse return to something like normal then its beer and food (or maybe more beer)

UTV

Actually just looked at the remaining fixtures and Sunderland have to play Soton and Stoke so whichever way these go will help us and keep a team in the mix with Wigan.

Amazingly, I agree Tuscans, and am more worried about relegation today than I was yesterday. The gap is the same, but a tough fixture for Wigan they have won.

Sorry but Albion are fucking wankers for throwing that away. Watch them lose next week too! Bastards. They are going to relegate us without even fucking playing us.

I am furious with them!

Fair play to Villa though. Face of adversity, again they came up trumps.

Bennett had a real shocker, but Norwich played him very cleverly and Hughton clearly had a game plan to get as tight as possible on him with or without the ball.

Benteke must have had close on his worst 90 minutes for us. Bassong talked him out of it today I am convinced. In his ear all game.

Weimann was anonymous.

But thankfully, thankfully, Delph, Westwood and Gabby were awake. Delph I thought was class all game, and Gabby took the goals brilliantly.

Newcastle have a tough last couple, QPR away, which will depend upon whether QPR bother turning up but they have no pressure on them at all, like Reading today who had probably their best result of the season and then they are home to Arsenal.

I'd rather be where we are than any of the teams below us going into the last two.

I think we'll get at least a point against Chelsea, mainly because of their run of games. Not nervous at all now.
