The only dark spot was a Wigan win. Anything other then that and we would have definitely been safe. But at least the season is in out hands now and we have put other teams down there as well.

Season may be in our hands but its Chelsea at home and Wigan away! I dont fancy us getting anything out of Chelsea and anything could happen against Wigan!

Yep - following on from that earlier post, Gabs definitely has earned the 'Club legend' badge. One of us, and those goals he scored today may be the most important he's scored, not only in this season's battle, but also for securing the future of the club for the next couple of years at least.

Games like this only help to build character. We've added another few inches to our collective ballsack with this result.

We are not safe and the Baggies let us down. Bennet needs a good talking to he should have been sent off.
With Wigan winning that was probably Gabbys most important performance for the club.

As I said before, this is surely Gabby's best form since the 08/09 season?

We're not safe until we're safe. We need to keep on going against Chelsea.
Good result today - doesn't matter what happened during the game; we won!

WHU went down with 42 points a few seasons' ago. We will be very motivated against Chelsea next week so here's hoping we can get another home victory to secure our future.

god I felt sick after the penalty, thought we'd ballsed it up, but thankfully gabby came to our rescue! 40 points now, don't think we can quite call ourselves safe, but we're nudging towards it. UTV

Sunderland and Newcastle (and Norwich) will be bricking it. Imagine if we had got a point v Newcastle at home...we'd be five points ahead of them with two to play....

Norwich will have to beat West Brom next week really. I don't really see the Boggies losing two on the spin. So I think that'll be a draw at best for Norwich and thus no chance for them to overtake us with Citeh away their final game.

I can't see Vlaar, Bennett and co. coping with Chelsea. I can only see another battering unfortunately.

Hoping Spurs get a late winner to drag Southampton into it
