That team just grew up.  Gabby was brilliant and I think he's earned the right to be called a Villa legend.

Couldn't agree more.

40 points and Sunderland, Newcastle, Norwich and Wigan all below us. It will take an incredible set of results for us to go now.

Great commitment shown, and a brilliant effort from the Gabbster.

I don't think 40 points will be enough this season.

It could be yet, but the risk is absolutely not worth contemplating. We're counting on draws now, I think.

We're not safe until we're safe. We need to keep on going against Chelsea.

Possibly not. Depends what happens with Wigan's game in hand. If they lose, I think that's all she wrote. I suspect 18th place will be 39-40 points. So another point or two should do it for us.

I reckon Norwich, Sunderland and Wigan are in the most shite. Think we've just about made it.

We seem to get battered by Chelsea one game then the next 3 or 4 we play against them we do well. But...I got a feeling they will beat us and they way Wigan always are I think they will win at their place so this could be it for us. Now hope and prey on the Norwich, Newcastle and Sunderland to lose all their games

That was a real wake up call and it just shows we have work to do in the summer. We struggled physically I thought with them and our touch was sloppy most of the game. But Gabby was a menace all game and has saved our asses big time.

I'm afraid that 40 isn't enough and I think we'll need one more point. Not easy when you consider our next two games.

That said, there's every chance one of Sunderland, Newcastle or Norwich don't pick up any more points.
