I thought we screwed it all up with Bennett on the wrong side and Brad having a moment. Great play by Gabby today when Benteke was unusually quiet for him and gutted West Brom couldnt get the point against Wgan but its all about the Villa today.

A hard thought point against Chelsea now and I think that could be it.

Good job Lambo

I think we're safe, which means Wigan's win is a problem for teams below us. I'm okay with that. I'd die laughing of Newcastle dropped.

I'm sorry but never mind Gabby, the win today was down to me

I'm out varnishing the arbour in my front garden with my headphones on, we go in front and I nearly fall off my ladder celebrating. I come inside to celebrate on here and they equalise. I return to my varnishing and we score a late winner. It is clear where I need to spend the rest of the season...

Well done villa- great time for gabby to deliver - sad that Albion let us down , lets hope they take something at Norwich next week.
Surely the teams below us can't all get a win from here ?

The only dark spot was a Wigan win. Anything other then that and we would have definitely been safe. But at least the season is in out hands now and we have put other teams down there as well.

I just want the season to end now. Forget the last couple of matches.

Excellent result! These young lads have grown so much in this second half of the season and can by rights call themselves Premiership players after a difficult roller coaster of a season...IF we stay up then this squad will go from strength to strength.

Wigan winning at Baggies keeps the relegation battle alive...but it could be someone else other than Wigan who actually face the drop now if they win their game in hand against Swansea on Tuesday.

Safe now IMO. Not a particularly good performance but in a way that shows how far the team have come. We can not playing well. We can also now come back from disappointing moments. Shout out to Gabby (obviously) and Delph. Bennett back to his awful worst. Weimann not great either really. Tekkers lucky not to have got a red.

Oh...and please never bring Holman on ever again Mr Lambert! Impact sub he is not!

I don't think 40 points will be enough this season.

Bennett needs a brain transplant. Sort that and he'll be a decent fullback. That said, we were mostly comfortable today until they drew level. Most of their play came from us giving away sloppy freekicks. They'll feel very hard done by. Draw would have been fair, and in all honesty, Bennett should have gone.

Gabby is back to his best. I bloody love him. I look forward to him celebrating his 100th goal. ;)
