If we can stay up - and it's still an 'if' - I'd like to see Newcastle go down this season and Wigan the next. Newcastle, because of the whupping they gave us at St James' Park, for punching a horse and because they are Newcastle. Also because everything that happens to Newcastle, whether good or bad, somehow appears to be magnified by 1000.

How about taking Dave Whelan and leaving him in Greenland? Would he evolve into a higher form of life, such as a jar of pickled beetroot?

I cannot describe my dislike of uncle Dave. I would love him to go down, and his bleating about Woberto being a top 4 manager, and too big for Villa and Liverpool proved to be total shite.

The man's a scumbag as well, for lots of other non-fottball reasons that won't interest you if you're not from Wigan.
His next appearance will be on the Saville thread i reckon.

Hate the fact that I feel nervous about today, and it's only caused by proximity to the bottom three. So my head's in charge today, the pit of my stomach can go fk itself.
Having calmed down from earlier in this thread, I'm no longer confident that we shall score the bazillion I predicted, so I'm going 3-1 us. Maybe 4-1. I just can't see us not scoring a few. And naarch are that bad in front of goal that we'll get theirs for them.

And, to anybody who might be, I don't think there's anywhere I'd rather be right now than stuck behind a tractor heading eastward on the A14. Hope you all have another "I was there" day. Ya bastards.

Today is pivotal. Win and we're safe in my opinion. Draw or lose and we'll be going to Wigan with work to do.

Yep.

4-1 again.

Andi's turn for a hat-trick this time, and Gary Gardner off the bench with the last from 35 yard yards.

Going to be another exciting, fascinating afternoon. I am off gardening with the headphones on as that's been the place for me to be to ensure our recent upturn in form...

Our allocation was 2400 and I think someone posted earlier saying they'd all been sold
