Glad to hear it and that Jules is still kicking and breathing.

Joachim? 39?!

So he was pretty much redundant from 92-95 with Big Ron not fancying him? There was a point when he wasn't getting a sniff, remember. Nearly ended up going to Man City for a million quid but nothing came of it for some reason.

He'll sit down and watch a game, but thats about it. He lives off his properties now and does the usual father bit each day, school run and that.He doesn't really keep in contact with many players apart from Tommy Johnson and Mark Draper.

I'm sure a few months ago I saw he'd scored for someone.

Former Premier League striker Julian Joachim was on target for Freiston Reserves in the Boston Saturday Football League this weekend. The ex-Aston Villa, Coventry City, Leeds United and Boston United forward - who was raised in the town - played his part as his side beat Mareham United in the Taylors Peugeot Division One.Dane Harper and Perrie Dale also found the net.Joachim isn’t the first famous name to turn out in the Boston league.Snooker champ Ronnie O’Sullivan once got a game for Old Leake when he was staying in the town.
Had no idea Barry had scored that many. But I suppose it is only 4 per season.and I think he took penalties.
I always thought Jules was decent. Great pace and when on-form a deadly finisher. The transfer request was probably not the brightest thing to do but he had 3 solid seasons of good goal returns and was far better value than the bloke we swapped him for plus cash, Hadji.
