Both our fullbacks were superb, as were Gabby, Delph and Syla. Benteke of course was just immense. I doubt if you'll ever see a player jump as high as he did for his 3rd. Absolutely brilliant, Villa.
Best new song from the Holte End "We're Aston Villa. We're taking the piss."
I'd also like to say I predicted this. I am Nostradamus! Apart from predicting they'd get fuck all. He's starting to look "Top4" good now he's finding his feet. Thought he was MOTM tonight by a mile with all due respect to Benteke.I reckon he's got to be pretty close to an England call up soon. I know he has some mistakes in him defensively but he has a great attitude and fantastic technique and will get better and better in the next few years.Steady on. He's not up there with Walker, Richards and Johnson yet. Give him time and he might be. I think there's not a lot between him and Richards and I still think Johnson is an absolute liability in defence. Remember Lowton has looked steady at centre-half as well, which is a versatility which will help him get into squads.

I doubt if you'll ever see a player jump as high as he did for his 3rd. Absolutely brilliant, Villa. Lambert said he did not think he had ever seen someone jump as high as the crossbar to head it home. Reminded me a bit of a goal I saw Marcel Desailly score for Milan a long, long time ago when I watched Goooooal Lazio on 4 on a Sunday morning and Italian football pitches looked like something from a foreign planet, always a bit foggy and damp, with real mystery and intrigue. The odd game would be sunny, but not often.
