This will destroy the fragile confidence of our young players. I think the good run is over.

I worry about this as well. It's just like our good run before the Chelsea game - then that ruined the confidence and we lost a whole host of crucial relegation games. With Sunderland experiencing a spurt of confidence under Il Duce, we could be in real trouble now.

We were never going to win this game but this has really focused my mind on the fact that we are now odds on to go down in my view
They can win 10-0 and we'll still be odds against to go down, because Wigan are still behind us.

With a game in hand, and a much better goal difference.
We're still odds against.

Have a look at any bookmakers that you wish.

Jesus, I didn't mean 'odds on' literally

Well, I wouldn't particularly criticise us for being taken apart by the champions with three offside goals. I'd criticise us losing 3-0 at home to Wigan - I said it at the time, if we go down, that will be the game that did it.

Exactly

This is horrible but if we go down it won't be because we lost games we weren't expecting anything from, it'll be the games against shit sides where we got nothing

The only possitive from the game so far...... we've had 80% of possession in the last 5 min, im being positive.

3 offsides to nil.
It wasn't Van Persie offside for the first.
Not for me , 1st van persie was behind the ball , 2 nd level and 3rd no problem- bad defending not bad officials.
Change it to bent officials we can't spoil the party

You now what, I'm think we'd actually have been better off if Lerner had appointed Steve McClaren.

A McClaren baby buggy would have offered a better option.

Can only be offside from a forward pass - the ball was played back to him.

Or really all the points we dropped from winning positions.

They aren't even that fucking good. Why the fuck do we just roll over and get our balls kicked by anyone in the top six? It's so fucking embarrassing

Anyone here listening to the R5 commentary? I couldn't bring myself to listen to it when I heard Alan Green talking about tonight earlier on R5.
same here, he's unbearable at the best of times but there's no way I'm listening to that odious oaf tonight

Weimann is a defensive asset to United. Breaks up every attack with a crap pass.

Ok some perspective. We were always going to lose and our goal difference is already fucked. It's all about Wigan now and they haven't closed the gap this evening.

Goal diff was one behind wigan before tonight.

And it was always going to be worse after tonight. I'd rather have the points over Wigan than the goal difference. We are still better placed than Wigan IMO.
