Fuckin hell. I just watched on youtube the one he scored against Swansea at vp- very similar just on his left rather than his right. Shooooooooooooot!!!!

I don't wish to take anything away from the lad, but now he's mastered the art of scoring belters (which is great), he can concentrate on mastering the art of defending.

I know a few Blades fans and they said he was better in midfield for them last season

He slipped over for their goal yesterday. Good footballer, good technique, but does need to improve at the back. Makes some silly mistakes, but then is very young, and will forever be better than Hutton.

That seems applicable to a few of our defenders.

Watching MOTD last night, couldn't remember the last time we had four players going forward and no opposition players in sight other than the goalie, for the third goal.

I think it might have been Chelsea when we were 7 down

I'm glad Christian took it on himself. Any other time in that situation we would have passed to Sylla who is offside.

I'm also glad the two were that side as it meant Begovic leaned that way anticipating the pass and Benteke had the right side to score in.

Just imagine if he had missed and Stoke had gone up the other end and equalised. It's a thin line and all that...

Fuck me Richard. Look what following Villa has done to you ;)

And I was only saying it tongue in cheek TV! Trust Woodhall to get hold of it at his most pedantic!

Well, I was out and so relied  on the R5L commentary and  - TBF - Danny Mills was very complimentary about us.

Which is nice.

Stoke have the worst form in 2013 in the P-ship which is why I thought we were in with a shout; thank God we pulled it off.

Onwards and upwards.

Unlike Francis on TV, struggled to say anything complimentary about Villa unless it was unavoidable.

I've always thought TF was quite complimentary about us whenever I've listened to him commentate.

He said something like Agbonlahor is using his intelligence!  Then Gabby dives in the area and starts waving his fingers about for some reason.

TF also stated that a Stoke player (forgotten who it was) couldnt possibily carry on after a foul....then he did just that!

That was actually about Westwood.  Shawcross caught him on the side of the foot and he went down and held his foot, after which francis stated that there was no contact and it must be a muscle injury and he couldn't possibly carry on.  All of which was said as a reply was showing shawcross land on Westwood's foot.  It was as if he'd started talking and couldn't bring himself to admit he was wrong so he carried on despite clearly being wrong.

Good luck Louzie.
'Great stuff matey. Just going on to one of those sites that we cannot talk about to watch MOTD. Stay safe young lady and all the best with your new venture. UTV to you and your future. Best of the best of luck.' DL

Thanks for the good wishes, Dan and Percy. UTV!
Really, really enjoyed MOTD this week.
Well done to all the away support, you looked and sounded fantastic on the telly.

Just listening to TSM on the radio and he has been complimentary towards the club, the team and PL. He remembers Benteke being scouted for the summer, last year and thinks that Bent, when fit, has found it difficult to get into the team this season mainly because of Benteke, Weimann and Gabby playing together in the fluid and exciting way they do. 'It's clear that the team is playing to suit Benteke - Bent doesn't really add a lot in this system, even if he [started every game] with Benteke.'

When asked, he said that Bent should probably be on his way in the summer, but that Benteke would be a target, of course, so the priority for PL was to hang on to him. Some generous and entirely non-bitter comments from a gentleman, despite attempts by the interviewer to get him to comment about the Benitez situation as a way of getting into his own experiences with the VP crowd.

I still agree that it was best that he went, though, I know the club survived last season in the PL but it was at a cost. Justified, hopefully by PL's new-look team keeping the club up this season and developing onwards and upwards the next.

thank goodness we actually had luck on our side yesterday. brilliant win at a ground we don't usually perform particularly well at, but replaying the penalty shouts Stoke had from the MOTD footage, on most match days this season, they would have gone against us. Totally deserved victory which hopefully sees us on the way to safety.

The Baker one was a good shout and we were lucky it wasn't given, but the Vlaar one wasn't and we would have been unlucky if it was given.

It does say a lot about the way we've played under Lambert. 2-1 up in a vital game in the 90th minute and 4 players go pissarsing up the other end of the pitch by themselves in search of a third.

As mentioned earlier, they completely skipped the 2 penalty shouts we had as well, which were about the same, If Gabby had gone down straight away he'd have got a penalty rather than a yellow, and Weimann's looked like he was clipped as well.

They did show the Gabby one as he was booked for it. But they didn't show Andi's. Although the one from Gabby was contact, he showed he didn't lose his balance so going down when and how he did was bad and deserved the yellow card.

As opposed to shitting ourselves trying to defend as we usually do and conceeding. We can't defend very well, but we can certainly go forward well.

Neither was deliberate handball in my opinion.
Just watched a rerun of football focus from yesterday and Dublin sitting next to savage was asked any regrets about his career - the reply " If I knew how much the fine would be I'd have head butted him a lot harder" - class!
