Lowton diving in YET AGAIN.  Sorry, he's shit.

What goes on in the match thread, stays in the match thread

Indeed, agree totally. We've all said stupid things in there which have turned out be wrong as I'm sure most of us have done at matches.

Hahaha.  I followed it up with some well deserved self deprecation. He did dive in and is dodgy as hell defensively.  That really was some goal though and much much needed.  Special moment.

Hey, thanks for re posting though.  Really fucking clever.

And he's not even necessarily wrong. Lowton was still part of a defence that tried its best to commit football suicide for the umpteenth time this season. That comment and him scoring a wonder goal aren't mutually exclusive.

If Lowton played for any of the 3 despicable moneybags then the wankfest by the press would have been immeasurable. Also he would be fast tracked to the England squad.

HUGE result - thank you Aston Villa FC !!!

A step closer to safety, but more to do yet. Not taking away from today's performance at all, but i am still very worried about us.
Fulham is a must win, Villa Park should be rocking, United away, well, nothing from that you would have to say, Sunderland home, bury them, and then another 3 points against Norwich should see the Villa faithfull travelling to Wigan able to have an enjoyable day. God knows you lot who go week in week out deserve a good last day. UTV.

My Dad's birthday so I've been out all day. Dying to see Lowton's goal. Sounds like an absolute belter.

Now I really hope other results go in our favour for once. This win is massive.

Tremendous win, fully deserved.

If we had even an average defence we'd be comfortably top half.

Hero!!!
Love you Villa!
Get in!

Take a bow son. I still think Lowton has the potential to play for England, though I'm not not sure if that's a comment at the current England team or one on his ability.

Massive win! Now we can relax and get the beers in! :D

In fact whenever I miss a match, Bowery plays. I think I've yet to see him play. How's he looking? Not good enough? Useful squad player or potentially more than that?

Have been out with the kids all afternoon, couldn't bear to check the scores after I last saw that it was 1-1.  Fabulous result though.
