Well done.
Win the trophy on Monday and they can have a lap of honour with it before the Fulham game.

ha ha

In all seriousness. That lads did very well. Sporting looked a decent outfit, but I'm not sure they were mentally strong. Our lads looked technical, well drilled and strong.

I reckon Robson will have us 3rd favourites behind Arsenal. The other thing Is I'd like all our lads shake hands with the Chelsea lads , but whisper I'll bet you anything you like I'll get a game for the Villa 3 seasons before you make the bench at your place

I think if we beat Chavski, both Villa and Fulham supporters would happily give them a standing ovation!

Have only read last page but have to say I thought Robson was fair with his comments. Sporting were technically the better team but Villa battled well and rode their luck. In extra time we stayed strong and were the better team. Robinson was superb IMHO, did a great job for the team. Was looking forward to seeing Grealish. He certainly has talent on the ball, doesnt look the fastest lad, but hopefully will have a future. Carruthers started poorly IMHO, but grew stronger and stronger, except for his dead ball choices. Robson mentioned all of these players, especially Robinson. I thought the number 5 (sorry cant remember his name) did really well at times, the lad next to him as well. Didnt see the first game, but nice to see an English team of mainly British players doing so well. I heard Robson mentioning that most of the Chelsea and Arsenal players were foreign.

I think this will be a great incentive. It should also give the crowd and first 11 a lift.

Well done the babbies.

I thought Donacien had a great game in defence, looks a real good prospect and to think only 12 months ago he had all that trouble with getting UK residency and could have been forced to quit playing for Villa. I bet no ones family will be prouder than his on Monday.

Yes Donacien looked composed and authoratitive but Robinson looked as if he has got the skills required at the highest level already. But so did Luke Moore at his age . Wasnt over impressed with Samir Carruthers for most of the match but he improved in the later stages of the game.

That big Portugese centre half (with the dreads looks) as if he could make it as well.

Cant wait for Monday.

Very very impressed with Callum Robinson.I hope Lambert has taken note of his magnificent committed performance in this game.

Agreed, I can see him in a front 3 with Benteke and Weimann...
By the time he gets his chance in the first team those two will be long gone.
