They wouldn't be a dry eye in the house when Stan walks onto the Villa Park pitch sometime in the future even if it's in a non playing capacity role.

Its quite easy to be a bit blase during the 19th minute applause every game, and kind of just go through the motions.
And then you read the latest update on Stan's progress, and you remember why we do it and why should continue doing it.

Keep fighting skip.

When you get the Fulham supporters, who sat down all through the match, rising to join in the clapping, it tells you how many people care about Stan. I think they are also showing solidarity and support for others who have terrible illnesses, in a kind of 'we're all in this together' way.
You look around as the season as gone on. They are clapping in the dugout, standing and clapping in the Directors Box, in fact they are all up for it.

I've had another article published, this time about Stan Petrov. Please take a look here:

"When you're in a relegation pickle like Aston Villa currently are, it's easy for that situation to become all-consuming. But there is a positive belief around the club that safety is in our own hands, and this spirit is paralleled with the continued good news about the recovery of our former captain, Stiliyan Petrov..."

Remember Alan Pardew applauding during the 19th minute, fair play to him.

Most of the away clubs have and it's been great to see. Fulham were fantastic. The Stripeyfilth down the road not bothering to give up 60 seconds of their time (esp their home game) just because it was a Villa player still leaves a bitter taste but i can't say i expected anyting less.

Albion away was bad. Absolute wankers.

Anyway, the 19th minute has been a classy show all season. I was a little uncomfortable with it first few games (not sure why) but its quite inspiring now .
