I'm not comfortable with the way this thread is developing. It's only natural to look forward but he's still got a way to go before his suitability or otherwise becomes an issue. Last week I heard about a bloke I was in hospital with who suffered from the same condition as Stan. He'd been in remission but it had returned and there's now very little left for him in terms of available treatments. Wait until he's clear of the illness, then we can speculate on his suitability as a coach.
Its quite easy to be a bit blase during the 19th minute applause every game, and kind of just go through the motions. And then you read the latest update on Stan's progress, and you remember why we do it and why should continue doing it.Keep fighting skip.

And I'm sure Stan would be the first to say the 19th minute isn't anymore just about him but about all fighting against cancer. Many in the crowd will have been touched by the illness personally or through someone they know. And I agree entirely with Chris. I am sure the club would love Petrov at the club in some capacity but they will want him fully recovered first.
Am I the only one who refuses to hand out the No 19 shirt on Football Manager?
