That's a horrible photo. Not iconic at all

This is the most iconic image of all in my opinion.

That's moronic, not iconic.

What a great set of photos Legion. Love the ones of the Holte and the snowbound Witton- what must it have been like scrambling down the bank after that game! One year in the early 70s days Ansells used a picture of the matchday Holte End in an advert for their Bitter.

The A.V floodlights were a thing of beauty and really set us apart from all the other clubs who just had boring square floodlights. At night when driving along the Expressway they seemed to float like guardian angels over our historical ground. I for one would love to see them returned. Perhaps a "Bring back the A.V floodlights" campaign should start.

Get the ball wide lads - there is plenty of green on the wings.

This is an iconic image for me, possibly my favourite ever game.

Some superb photos in here, thanks for sharing.  The one taken from the back of the Witton End in the snow is the first view I ever had of Villa Park.  Only exception being that the Witton Lane stand was the one built for the World Cup.

Whenever I think of or someone asks me about Villa Park, that is the the image that comes in my head.  Villa Park is just not the same for me anymore I'm afraid

Remind me who this was against?

I'm thinking Bristol City but I could be wrong.
