I'm as pissed off about this is the rest of you, but it seems to me that directing anger at Sky over it is aiming it in the wrong place.
It is the clubs that have put themselves at Sky's mercy, it is the clubs that pass on the vast majority of the TV money to players, overpaid executives and greedy agents and it is the clubs that then expect us to change all our plans and mess around our family and social lives and work shifts etc to fit in with these changes.
It should be the clubs that supporters should take issue with over these changes. We should refuse to buy season tickets where the terms and conditions basically say tough shit to you if the game gets moved. We should start to demand that prices be lowered for live TV games, which is effectively only us getting our fair share of the TV money coming in. We should be given the option of a pro rata refund if we can't attend or say a 25% reduction for that game if we do attend, which could be given as a credit on the following year's season ticket. It would be such a good way of marketing season tickets they'd probably sell a lot more anyway.
So many people and organisations are raking it in and making a living off the TV deals due to the global interest in the Premier League now. That's fine, but we fans are still being charged top dollar to turn up and provide what is a major part of the whole package that gets flogged around the world. It would only take a small percentage of the extra money clubs get for a TV game to give us back our fair share. We are the only ones that lose out when a game gets televised.
We have to make our own clubs take notice of us on this - trying to fight Sky over it will get us nowhere. We are each one of 20,000 or so Villa season ticket holders, if a good number of us campaigned for a fair deal and a change to the terms on which we buy our tickets that gives a much greater voice than being one of so many million worldwide TV viewers.
As for away games being moved for TV, it wouldn't take up that much of the extra money to provide free travel would it for those hardy and loyal folk who have now had to take half a day off work.
It's a big enough pie - we deserve our fair share.

My son-in-law has been meaning to come to a game all season and finally plumped on this one so I bought a ticket right next to my ST seat this morning and by this evening it's been moved. Now I probably can't go myself as I have to come up from London. I don't suppose I'll get much joy tomorrow when I ring up and ask for my money back - there's probably a clause somewhere saying I can't. Infuriating.

If you ring up the ticket office I'm almost certain they'll give you your money back. You won't get train fare back if you've already paid for that though.

If we as fans were to start a campaign is it just the Monday night game we want rid of? I suggest the Saturday lunchtime ko is awful from atmosphere and for anyone having to travel any distance.

If a Holiday company changes your departure dates, and you find it unnaceptable, you have a legal right to a full refund, why is this facility not available to the bottom-of- the-pile-taken-for-granted, cash cow hereafter referred to as Season ticket holders?. SKYs money has enabled a lot of good things within the game, but all this chopping and changing of schedules is becoming a serious pain in the Arse.

Sky has also allowed very average players to earn a fortune and give nothing back in return. Great .

How about for the Sunderland game those in attendance take an A4 printed piece of paper saying F**K SKY or SKY STOLE THE SOUL?

They didn’t steal anything, they bought it fair and square.

They brought the TV rights fair and square but they have taken the game away from the fans with stupid kick off times and moving games to Monday nights.

The Premier League sold the rights to those slots. Sky use them. If BT or Al The Zebra win the next contract, do you think they'll say "fuck it, we won't show Saturday lunchtime or Monday games"?

What perhaps should be done is that the PL stipulate that there's more notice to switch a game.

The game was willingly sold to them, if you want to blame anybody, blame the clubs.

Just looking at the remaining fixtures - Chelsea will be moved / re arranged if they get to the Cup final .

I think that is due to be played on Sat 11th May (Chelsea fixture is currently 3pm on the Sunday)

Football was in a mess then with clubs having too fork out all seater grounds and attendances low to the negative press football received due to violence and the awful tragedy at Hillsborough. Sky took advantage and year by year have been taking more of a stranglehold on our game knowing that the clubs couldn't back out. When Sky first brought the coverage there was one additional kick off time which was 8pm they have added the Sat and Sun lunchtime k/o and the Sat evening purely cos they can.

Well I was missing this game as I'm in London, so at least I can watch it now. Asked before about pubs with Soccer Saturday on, could now do with a decent pub to watch the match in Darn Sarf?

I feel sorry for the MONderland fans. It's big enough pain for me (plus I hate Monday night games) but it's a home game and I live in Brum. A lot of them will have already bought tickets and possibly paid for train travel and will now have to sort out time off work, new travel etc. Sky really don't give a shit about us fans.

Isn't it this in a nutshell?
I know someone who drives from Poole for home games, for obvious reasons he can't make mid-week games!
