2,000 tickets please Mr Whelan.

Tell him the stick them where the sun don't shine. If it wasn't good enough last week why should we give him money now?

I agree with Fred. I love the Wigan away trip - easy to get to, friendly locals, found a great pub (the Pear Tree) and we usually win there. But if my money wasn't good enough when it mattered then it aint good enough now. The rancid old cockstrangler can do one!

I want as many Villa there as possible, I quite enjoy the sound of taking their town and taking the piss out of ol' Whealan.
Going to see if I can myself a blow up champagne bottle for Sunday

I still can't get my head round why some people still can't understand why Wigan restricted the tickets. They were just doing what might have been best for them. Besides, they gave us all the tickets they had to give us.

It may go against club pride etc. but I couldn't give a rats arse about the last game. The aim has been achieved.

I'm drained and need to focus on other areas of my life!

I know how you feel. I punched the air when Arsenal's third went in and since then have just felt a bit underwhelmed. Being jubilant about not being relegated is very Birmingham City.

I did'nt really celebrate any of Arsenal's goals, i just sat there with a contented smile on my face.

It's lovely knowing we're safe. I think the Wigan game will be a celebration, not for staying up but for optimisim for the future.

My thoughts exactly, I couldn't celebrate their goals because the weren't scored by Villa. It would have been a ball-ache if they won but I can go to Wigan on Sunday with a huge smile on my face and in party mode. I had faith in us to get something there if needed anyway.

No celebrations for me when the goals went in, but I did get myself a nice kebab afterwards to celebrate having a good season to look forward to next year.

#smalltime.  Enjoy the last game by all means but a champagne bottle is pathetic for just surviving relegation, particularly when Wigan are likely to be parading the FA Cup.

Someone said there will be Petrov masks? Wouldn't surprise me if there were also shirts a la Mellberg, given the Club's desperation to get rid of the surplus.

It feels so wonderful to be safe now. It's like a weight has been lifted off my chest, I'll really enjoy the build up to the weekend now. Hopefully we'll win and finish high up the table, but it's great to have it not really matter now. First game in ages we can go into with no pressure.

This.  I don't care about wheteher or not avoiding relegation should be celebrated, all I do know is that we're going to have a fookin bostin day out on Sunday, and that my friends is what it's all about.

Hardly, Instead of thinking "oh shit, next year doesn't look to bright," I can actually look forward to next season. Its been a few years since I've felt that.

IMO the second half of the season is one worth celebrating, we were dead and buried in January, we've done well to come out of it and the players deserve a big pat on the back for turning it around.

I'm looking forward to next season as much as you are (although I was looking forward to this one and look what happened!).

Villa have played well last couple of months - that's about it for me.  By all means enjoy your day but waving a blow up champagne bottle and winding up Wigan (after winning the cup) is the kind of thing you'd hear from a nose

The champagne bottle is there to celebrate my optimism. If there's any songs going for Whealan I will join in, I really do not like that man. I have nothing against the Wigan fans and will miss this away day. I will not be going there to wind them up.

As long as the tickets were given to Villa on 'saleable return' rather than the normal set up whereby we have to buy them all, I'd have no problem seeing us take them. Can't see it happening though.

To others though it'll look like you're celebrating staying up, unless you make a big banner saying  'i'm optimistic'.

Even if there is a big banner stating your optimism the Champagne Bottle is a totally naff idea.  For your own sake don't do it.  Unless you like getting funny looks that is.

Club are in negotiations with Wigan about more tickets according to OS.

I can't wait for the game. Don't tell Mr Sox but i'm going in fancy dress. I'm going as a Villa supporting Ukranian ex-boxer.
