I have heard that the Police reason for us not getting more tickets was because of West Ham wrecking the place when they got relegated there.

What difference does it make whether we take 5400 or 3000 to the levels of vandalism that may be carried out on toilets etc?

All they’re doing is creating a situation whereby a lot of Villa will find away into the Wigan end which has its own problems.

It certainly made a big difference a few seasons ago when Blackburn gave us a large allocation - it attracted all the knob heads and the Fernhurst was trashed - as were some areas of the ground I believe.
I sincerely hope we can get an increased allocation and that our fans behave themselves irrespective of the score.
Took my daughter to Wigan last season and all she can remember is:
Great Northern Soul tracks played before the game
McLeish getting what he deserved when he brought Heskey on
A Villa fan outside the ground who could not even stand up as he was that drunk  (No it wasn`t Risso or Blandy)

Do you really believe there are no 'knob heads' in the first 3,000?
No not at all - but having witnessed some of the behaviour of some of our fans over the years the ratio of "knobness" seems to increase significantly when we get larger allocations or the ticket prices are lower. For example Blackburn and Fulham spring to mind - great away days but they do seem to attract a larger element of fans who either get fuelled up or just can`t take their drink. The majority of our fans are fantastic and act as ambassadors in the main, however the arrival of some who perhaps who do not travel that often sometimes let the rest of us down. I went to Germany pre-season and there were about 500-800 Villa fans there - we had a great time and those "getting out of hand" were soon reminded of their behaviour by fellow Villa fans or the "tooled up" German police officers.

Has anybody mentioned yet how it is near impossible to cause any damage that will make Wigan appear less attractive as a town?

Suppose. I think it's perhaps more noticeable with a larger contingent.

Rumours on twitter of noses getting tickets in the home end and booking coaches in anticipation of our impending relegation.

Despite them being a bunch of bitter obsessed fucktards, I think in this instance it's probably twitter bollocks.

They can't be arsed to turn up at the Sty, they're not going to bother going to Wigan.

This is one of the many reasons its imperative we don't go down. We've never hear the end of it from the Sty dwellers if we were relegated. It's just unthinkable. We must stay up!

So Wigan are restricting ticket sales to stop Villa getting into the home ends, and yet small heath twats have no problem getting tickets? File under complete swollocks.

True. The less ammo they have against us the better though.

Yes but this is far more important to them than any game at the sty.

For home games, if there's enough time, they post it. if not collect on the day at the ground. That single ticket at Wigan that was on Viagogo yesterday was collect on the day, which could pose a problem, if they decided not to hand it over to anyone with a Brum accent.

Viagogo or the club reprint the tickets sold on that site. I don't see why they're be any need to meet up with the seller.

I've just been looking at the tickets available for Wigan v Swansea and of the many available only one says 'Pick up on event day'.

Yeah same for Chelsea game. Seems to be the same seller as the cheap tickets aswell pop up in A6 of the Trinity.

Weren't there rumours of about 10K + Geordies descending on VP for the final game in 2009?

In the end it was pretty much the allocation and probably any strays just went and watched the match on Broad Street.

This game is different as Wigan is much closer than Newcastle and there is the lure of huge numbers of home tickets unsold.
