For those tempted to buy tickets for home sections of the stadium (Wigan) be warned that the stewards are under strict instructions to remove away fans from those areas.

That's the same for every ground, as long as you're sensible and don't act like a Man Utd fan can't see there being a problem.
Must be a nightmare when they play United or Liverpool and there's probably more away than home fans in the actually home ends.Tbf if I was an away fan and sitting in the home end there, I'd just go and find an empty row as you're least likely to be outed if you sit alongside empty seats rather than people.
Quote from: Des Little on March 08, 2013, 03:59:39 PMThere will be no clamour for tickets. We will be down by then and as a result demand will barely satisfy supply. Can I have your ticket then, Des?

Mind you I have seen that same line at Villa Park when a young lad and his father sat by me in the lower North Stand - it was against Liverpool and the two of them were just sat there prior to the game minding their own business when a senior steward spotted the lad`s Liverpool shirt under his jacket (the kid was about 5 or 6 years old). Our nearest steward ( a really nice bloke by the way) was asked to eject the fella and his lad. He was totally embarassed doing so but rules is rules etc.
May well be the absolute high-water mark for gallows humour.

I am not sure however what they do when "their club" comes to town!

We'll end up with the full 5400.It will be nice to wave Wigan off as they're relegated and see Wheelan crying, going on no doubt about Woberto and what an amazing job he has done. We will never play another league game against them again.
The police will make sure we get around 3,000 tickets. They will not want any more than that there.
