I think we'll have to take the beating squarely on the chin and move on. I just hope we compete and make City break sweat.

When I was in the ticket office in town the chap in front of me was booking 2 tickets to his first match, had no idea what any of the stands were called etc. Am I just being a cynical bastard for wondering why he's waited for Man City at home to break his cherry?

Probably a brummie new to football who supports Manchester City. I find it hard to blame people for this kind of thing any more. They want to support a team that plays well, with exciting players who might win things. There is no local team that fits that description.

Well aside from Kiddy harriers who might go up this year! :)

Anyways, I dont expect anything from the City match, routine loss.

Awesome. Those supporters could use some good times. God knows they have kept the faith long enough.

We're not so badly off we can only put out 10 players are we?

Well we do need to give City a chance. It wouldn't be fair on them if we fielded 11 players.

I think it will be a tight game with us ending up losing 0-1.

Getting quite excited for this one strangely, I hate Sky as much as the next football fan but there's nothing like a big game under the floodlights.

I know it has got to a bad stage when I found myself thinking "if we only lose by one goal then that is pretty good compared with Wigan letting in three". When did this mind-set begin? Hate myself for it.

Looking at a dull, dour nil-nil and will cheer them to the rafters on the final whistle.
