Just thawing out using the "we've just won a game" inner glow

At 1-0 you just knew we needed another and what a great goal for the Zog.

Fun celebrations with the Italian contingent in the Upper Trinity who seemed bemused when we went mental and started pummelling each other and then them! But not as shocked as the American teens...

A couple of early balls into Bent and Benteke in the 2nd half would have seen us clear before they scored

To misqioute the Bard "a win, is a win by any other name..."

Thank fcuk we hold on to that, another collapse in injury time would've certainly relegated us imo given how garbage West Ham were for 90% of the game.

N'zogbia is a huge player for us now, hopefully the injury he picked up isn't too bad. Thought Dawkins looked decent when he came on aswell.

It was critical to hold on, absolutely vital. Had we thrown that away we'd be relegated now.

West Ham manager Sam Allardyce:

"Apart from the Aston Villa fans, anyone who watched this afternoon knows we deserved something. The sad thing is, after not converting our chances, we have paid the price by conceding from a free-kick and a penalty.

"Apart from Jussi Jaaskelainen spilling an early shot which fell to Weimann, Aston Villa created and contributed nothing.

"We were waiting to see what Villa had to throw at us in the first half and we coped with that. Then our plan was to go at them in the second half and we created chance after chance.

"We completely dominated the second half and we've ended up losing 2-1. Even at the end their goalkeeper was the hero."

Talk about sour grapes. Contributed nothing, we passed you off the pitch first half. Twat.

Is Dunne close to getting back?

If the rumour I heard is correct, he's been fit for weeks.

Rumour being?,

Don't know which game he was at, West ham were garbage at best and came for a point.

Just got back. I must say West Ham were awful I expected more from them.

When Weimann missed that unmissable chance the bloke next to us laughed and went to the gents...that early!.

I doubt if any of you watching on streams at home were fooled into thinking Lamberts got any idea what his best team or system is.

I think its possible Charles went down to easily for the penalty, although my view was slightly obscured, but his free kick for the second was excellent.

I know Clark had a good game but he is not a centre half. Baker is a centre half not a left back although he was strong and did well.

I dont understand why Bowery was on the pitch....just dont understand Lamberts thinking.

Delph was good in the main and Bent appeared to be trying very hard when he came on.

Weimann needs a rest for a couple of games.

And all the interviewer had to say was Villa players scored all three goals in that match and your players scored none.

Full credit to the team... maybe it wasn't pretty but it's 3 POINTS!!!!   Woo-hoo!

Great to see N'Zog finally get a crucial goal - hope he is not injured.

Full credit to the fans as well - the weather looked horrendous, cold and wet!

Onwards and upwards!

I missed that out! Yes I was very pleased indeed with the result but not Lamberts tactical expertise!

PHEW!

Well that was a really boring game, one that until the penalty I was tempted to turn over, it was an appalling game. West Ham were awful mind, I said to my friend at half time if we don't beat these we deserve to go down. The back 4 looked a lot more solid this week which is a big plus. A penalty out of nothing and phenomenal free kick one us this game

Lets enjoy it, but theres a hellova long way to go yet.
