A win is a win i suppose, never mind fancy shit and losing. Cmon Villa, just stay up.

But we've shown all season that we lack the steel to do this for ten minutes, let alone the full ninety! Unless Sylla's been kicking anything that moves at BH all week, then it's just a red herring for allardyce, I reckon. Three-none Villa. Onwards and upwards.

Too inconsistent , the first half at west brom was excellent as was the 2nd half v newcastle - we must perform for 90 minutes and not 45 from now on .
Although everton was hopeful we were still hanging on and struggling for the last 30 minutes

Against a team that are right i the scrap for the top 4 and have a central midfielder (who was involved in everything they did) who is just about the best in the league right now.  The reality is we were away against a very good side in great form and there was nothing to pick between the teams.  If we'd played like that in the previous 4-5 matches we'd be in the fa cup 5th round, the final of the league cup and 4-5 points outside the relegation zone.

We need to keep that up and play to our strengths in attack.

Our problem is we are not a scrappy team.We lack the experience and strength to keep games tight but we are potent in an attacking sense.Even including Bent our 4 strikers have all scored recently so that's how we have to play really.

But hopefully , although it's a huge ask Sylla will bring some help in the MF even if its just closing down and forcing mispasses from the opposition

We only ever seem to score excellent goals.

We need a few to go off Vlaar's massive bonce and Andi's arse, to accompany the superb goals.

A good point some of the goals we have scored have been excellent but rarely any scrapy ones and defence and MF not contributing any goals at all really.I count one from Lowton and a couple from Holman.

If he picks Delph, Sylla and Westie then I think the MF stands half a chance of competing.
The challenge is - obviously - dealing with the barrage we'll get at the back. Baker and Vlaar seem to me to be the best CB combo for this game, and perhaps Clark should go to LB, to add some height as well. If Clark is rested  -as he probably needs to be - then Stevens would be a better bet than Bennett (more defensive, a little more physical).

We'll win well and then lose heavily in our next two games.

I had a horrible dream last night-I cannot ever remember dreaming about a Villa match before. I'd forgot to turn on the t.v. to watch the game on Sky and realised it was almost half-time. As I belatedly tuned in West Ham were scoring their 4th without reply.
That can't happen-can it?
