hate to say it, but IF we can keep Cole, Jarvis and Carroll quiet then we should win....but I doubt we could do that for 90+mins

another Newcastlesque performance...bad first...rampant second....:(

When they get a set piece, can they have a penalty instead?

Interesting and kinda heartening to see two thirds of posters anticipating a Villa win. I hope they're right.

I just don't see what has changed to avoid anything other than the usual Villa Park debacle.

I said win. But it is purely hope.

All my WH mates say that Playing with Nolan is like paying with 10 men at the moment,
They were slagging him on the phone ins a couple of weeks ago for being a lazy shit

Take the criticism we give to Bannan and x it by 10 that's what he gets from the hammers fans,
There is no way he will control anything in midfield, he's just not good enough even against our Lot
having said that he'll probably pop a couple in now I've said all that

Nolan usually pops up with a goal against us, is a nightmare to mark from corners and links up well with Carroll.

He'd be the last one you'd leave out when playing us.

I really rate Nolan. If we had him, we'd be top ten.

Not sure about that.

We've got his sisters playing in our defence

He does what Ireland is supposed to do, contributes 10 goals a season in the free role.

As is James Collins.  It's just got a sense of inevitability about it.

Well one thing for sure, West Ham are in good form

Are they?

Reading reports from their recent games, the return of several key players has probably made it the worst time to play them. They'l be no pushovers and probably fancy their chances to take all 3 points.

Not necessarily. Collins missed the last game and if he's out he'll be replaced by a 23 year old centre half and we all know where that's got us this season. Benteke could give him all sorts of trouble. They were also forced to play Taylor at left back in the last game so we don't know the fitness of Demel either. Obviously it's not good news that Carroll and Vaz Te are back but it's not all doom and gloom.

I just don't see what has changed to avoid anything other than the usual Villa Park debacle.

The second half at Newcastle I think, which showed playing 4 at the back and more in midfield made Villa more effective.  This was carried on to an improved performance at Everton.  Of course we might still be shite on Sunday but at least it gives us some hope.

Too inconsistent , the first half at west brom was excellent as was the 2nd half v newcastle - we must perform for 90 minutes and not 45 from now on .
Although everton was hopeful we were still hanging on and struggling for the last 30 minutes
