if only games finished at half time...

Apparently if games finished at half time we'd be sixth

Excellent fIrst half but Bennett and KEA are the weak links.  I'd bring Sylla on for KEA.

I think left back's a trickier one though.

I actually rate Bennett but he's certainly struggling today

Better performance so far. But only carrying 4 players as opposed to 6.

The ref worries me I feel he will give them a pen or send one of ours off.

Keep battling lads!

One of our better first halves for a while, then.

Benteke looking excellent again, N'Zogbia and Agbolahor playing well, Westwood too. Weimann hasn't been in it, KEA looks a bit ponderous as usual. CLark has made some great tackles and shown some dismal positioning. Vlaar has been solid, as has Lowton.

Bennett, though, has been really poor. I still think there's a good player in there, but he needs to be taken out of the firing line, I think.

Just got in - how's the first half been?
I see PL has got three strikers on the bench ... interesting selection!

Everton will still win this I fear. We need another goal anyway.

Can't believe they didn't start Jelavic, he tore us to pieces at VP earlier this season.

We'd probably be close to top 6 on first halfs wouldn't we?

Stattys! Where are ya! Someone more cleverer than me find a link please!

Sure I read last week that we would be 6th in the table if games finished at ht.  Today's effort has surely pushed us further up that league.  Shame we have to come out of the dressing room for the 2nd half!!

Fuck me it's stressful when we're winning.

Benteke is absolute class. When he breezed pass the Everton lad it was like a bull being harassed by a butterfly. Nice finish too.

OK , so no m,ore players in, but how about a coach for the defence?

I predict Chelsea will come back to win at Newcastle. Sadly, Everton will against us as well.
