I gave up going on a regular basis some years ago, work on a Saturday and all round disenchantment with the game were the prime movers. If anything I feel even further disconnected with the game in it's current state, one glimpse of the tidal wave of bollocks on SSN yesterday only served to re-affirm this. However, my love for Villa remains untarnished. From the hours spent on here, following our trials and tribulations on the 'net, to launching ever more desperate rebuttalls to cackling Albion fans in the pub and never hiding my allegiance. I follow every game as closely as I can, kicking and heading every ball, roaring in delight and sighing in resigned disapointment.Like many, relegation may well increase my attendance record and for those old enough to recall the last time, the pain of May '87 was washed away by the joyride of the following season, still my favourite in 25 plus years, cup wins and european joints and all.Don't let incompetance and intransigence, misguided management and constant piss taking put you off. There are, and will always be, great times following Villa, regardless of the football.

Going to football on a Saturday is simply "what I do" It is as simple as that for me. Agree. Let's face it, what else would you do with your time that would intrigue you as much? I bet everybody that doesn't for whatever reason, cost, work, distance, but still monitor our clubs fortunes via match threads or TV (Less chance of the latter if we go down) would still much rather be present at every game than doing what they're doing.

Otherwise why do we spend so much time on here?I've been a ST holder since my dad brought me my first one in 1991. I was 7. I'm now 29 and have been going every year since.Going to football has become programmed in me. To the extent, if we have a free weekend, I find myself going to watch other teams with friends of other supporting teams. I now live in Manchester so we have a big catchment area. I work next to Old Trafford so I find myself going occassionally to midweek games.Even my holidays tend to consist of going around Europe going to tournaments or watching European teams. I love football. So to take that away from me, would be a big blow. I couldn't not go. Doesnt matter how bad we are. I've had the most amazing experiences either through watching The Villa or other teams. And wouldnt swap it for the world.
YES! Watched them in the Third, Second, then First, then Second again, now Premisership - I'll watch them anywhere.Once you get past the idea that the owners of your football club give a shit about you as a fan it all becomes alright ;-)
I'd be interested to see the results but can't view them without voting for some reason and don't want to skew the results by voting.
