Ideal scenario for me:

We're safe before the Wigan game, Wigan need a point from us to stay up and send Newcastle down. We give them a point.

A mouthwatering prospect Chico, just a shame it isn't Stoke.

Game today with Wigan is massive, really need Spuds to do em. Then we can relax a bit more and stuff the Mackems, a team whose supporters I respect immensely from 74/5 and 80/1. their team is likely to be along the lines of Minnolet, Colback, Carlos, O'Shea, Rose, Johnson, Larson, Some big black french lad, Mclean, Graham, Sessignon. FFS, that is a pile of shite, even our shite aint that bad. They were lucky at Newcastle and Everton should have sneaked a draw last week. Lets chase every fecking ball, dont give them time and our superior class will tell

That same pile of shite has been above your "superior classed but not as bad shite" in the table for the majority of the season marra!

Easy Tiger....you have been hanging on every word today.....remember...you can't participate on a rival fanzine without expecting some form of scrutiny.....granted it appears you have had a tot....but O'Neils side will get beat on monday. Alreet?

;D  Time will tell marra, time will tell. We'll see you in the Arena!  ;)

Did you enjoy the arena Davey?

I said after the Newcastle game you were lucky and got carved open by them but got through with the ref and 3 screamers. Everton for some reason thought attacking was not to be done against you, but you must be worried about DiCanio over a full season? He just seems to say bizarre things that if results are not falling, will alienate players very quickly.
We are still well and truly in the shit.
And the biggest one of all, Sessegnon out for the remaining games leaving us as toothless as we have ever been.

Yep Davey, losing Sessegnon is a massive blow. He seemed to be getting his form back as well.

Personally i think your defence is the worry. When we went 2-1 in front last night, i said to the others that i could see us getting another couple but i was'nt expecting 6. I also thought that we'd concede again at some point but for once that did'nt happen.

I think Di Canio will keep you up. Where you'll go from there with him is anyone's guess.

To be fair, we've shipped a few soft goals but the defense, as aging as it is, hasn't been overly bad up until last night. My main worry is a lack of quality and pace throughout the side.

Your last sentence is exactly how i feel.

MON f**ked both our teams

Always a pleasure to get Davey B's take on all things Mackem. Considered, realistic and respectful of the fact that he's on the forum of another club.  He'll be more than welcome back next season...provided we've done the double over them again  ;)

We've made a huge step forward last night but we still need another 3 points to be safe. Until we do that I wouldn't be talking about who we might / might not relegate. A win at Norwich will see us safe as it would mean Wigan will need to win 3 or their last 4 games (including us) to catch us. They need full points from West Brom & Swansea otherwise I think they'll go down.

I also think we'll get something from the Chelsea & Wigan games.

We push Benteke down Whelan's wheezy gob.

F*** Wigwam.

If we are in the luxurious position of being able to affprd Wigan a favour, I hope we do the exact opposite and nail them, for a number of reasons.

Thing that struck me about Sunderland last night was that after two good wins they thought they only had to turn up to win. I think they were a bit shell-shocked that the crowd and the Villa team were really up for it. As PDC explained it in Italian: "Our bellies were full".
Let's hope we do not suffer the same failings against Norwich.

Didnt think I was being disrespectful of Sunderland as a club, far from it actually, but I stick by the comments that the team is shite and even our shite aint as bad :)

Emphatic Victory last night apart, league table still shows otherwise. Though i concede with losing Sess i can't see this staying this way for much longer.  :)

As I thought I put in my initial comment, have no axe to grind with Sunderland Davey, and I agree we have been poor at times this season. However, Lambert has a plan and IF, and it is still a big if, we stay up this season, I think the future looks quite bright for Villa. As for Sunderland, Im not sure MON's signings were that good (quite liked the look of the big French lad in midfield for you last night, he kept battling when others had given up) and they werent exactly signings for the future. Di Canio will need to rebuild in much the same way like Lambert has. Please dont take offence to my initial comment, as for Sessognon, have seen worse tackles not get a red card, but dont think he will win appeal but think you will be fine. Newcastle have two tough games and then QPR away, who may well now relax and show they can play football. Lets hope so eh :)
